★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cow Bay is a very scenic waterfront area in the port town of Prince Rupert in North west British Columbia. We visited this city in July 2019, and stayed in a nearby hotel by the name of Cow Bay Pioneer Guesthouse. I would walk down to the waterfront every morning to take in the scenic views. There is a marina, restaurants, pubs, tour operators and souvenir stores located in this area.
This area was originally known as Cameron Cove and in 1908 was renamed as Cow Bay when a Swiss man John Nehring unloaded a herd of cows for his dairy from his barge.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent walk with numerous shops and decorations to take in. Views of the marina are fun and the several fresh seafood options available are reputed to be excellent. (We are at Dolly's, and it was excellent food.). You won't be disappointed if you extend your walk up or over a couple of blocks to check out the courthouse, train station etc.
