About Cornerstone Christian Assembly
Cornerstone has called several places home. Originally meeting at Beddington Community Centre (with office and meeting space at Rundle College) we moved to Rocky Mountain College for several years and in 2002 moved to a building in Inglewood where we were able to support an organization that helps young girls leave the street life. We had many happy years there, but in 2008 we felt the Lord calling us to move to N.E. Calgary, where, since January 2000 – January 2015 we had run an outreach program for disadvantaged youth (BackDoor Youth Church).
On Christmas Eve 2008 our first service was held in Rundle where we have become co-labourers for Christ with King of Glory Lutheran Church. We are working together with King of Glory to reach out to those in north east Calgary who don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We are two Churches with different doctrine, setting aside our differences and coming together to worship one Lord, Jesus Christ.

There is no judgment in this church, they never stray from the word and you feel the sense of family every time you walk through the doors. Even when you are distanced from them you have the knowing that they are with you through prayer. I am a card carrying member of Cornerstone and am so proud to call this MY church. If you are looking for unconditional love and support and if you want to learn more about the word of God, walk into this place. Pastor Hooly is an amazing teacher and she sure knows how to keep you engaged.

But that all changed 6 months ago, I was introduced to this church... The people are beyond amazing. & The pastor is sooo beyond amazing as well... She showed me the light & it changed my life around completely...
I'm so blessed to have found them.❤️ & If anyone is in need of help, love, support or just needing to pray .. this is the church to go to.. They don't judge, they are so understanding, & loving. ❤️❤️?? Best church ever!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful church! If you’re looking for a place where you’re welcomed right away, this is it! Warm, friendly atmosphere and amazing people that make you feel like family. A small enough church that you feel like you know everyone, but large enough that you don’t feel singled out. They have lots of small groups! Something for everyone. Men, women, youth, grief share, single parenting, divorce care and so much more.
The Sunday school teachers are over the top and really make the children feel welcome. It’s so much easier to leave your children with teachers when the kids are excited to go!
They do a lot of community outreach and are partners in running a free give away every Saturday of food, clothing and household goods. It’s so nice to see a church that is truly giving to the community.
The Pastor is truly gifted, both in her preaching and in making you feel so at home. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone is doing well, and if she knows of a need, she addresses it to the best of her ability.
They have several worship teams on a rotating schedule so there’s music everyone can enjoy. From old hymns to newer stuff you might hear on ShineFM.
Truly a wonderful church. I feel so blessed to have found them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had the privilege of raising my 3 boys (15,10 & 9) in this amazing church! The Sunday School teachers are awesome and SO loving. My boys look forward to going every week. My oldest boy is 15 and loves going to Friday Night Youth. They play games like basketball in the full size gym, eat supper together and do a time of worship and bible study. This church is a gift and you will always be welcome here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love, love , love this church family! I’ve never felt so welcomed in a church. The people are open, friendly and truly care about the well being of one another. They come from all walks of life, are all ages and they know how to have FUN!!! The pastor is an awesome shepherdess with a heart for Jesus and a great sense of humour. She lovingly refers to us as a clump rather than a flock (could be because we’re also a tad quirky). AND, the praise and worship teams are the tops! We also have an energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated team who enjoy serving in our children’s church. But the very best part is the Holy Spirit loves this church too! His presence is palpable when you walk into the sanctuary. He makes himself known during the praise and worship time and ministers to us throughout the sermons. We are the blessed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a place you want to join. Unless your a favotite of the pastor, don't expect any spiritual guidance. You will be told your "e-mail bounced back"(exact quote) yet no phone call was ever made. More of a club than a church.Save your energy and find a better church.
