The food was great and very filling. A little small but the staff was very kind and welcoming. Overall very good food and service.

I was excited to eat here. Ordered a mad and cheese w/ griot, and a plantain burger. Burger was delicious but needed some more sauce, and I don't think subjectively. The Mac was good for what it was, but didn't feel like Mac and cheese. Either a very light or nonexistent roux

Small shop (literally a comptoir) with a few tables. The staff is nice and the venue is cute and clean. I ordered the following: -acra 3/10 I think they might have given me fritaille instead of acra but that called it acra?? Anyways, it does not taste like acra and if it is fritaille you can live without it. -griot 7/10 the meat was SUPER tender. You could break up the pork with minimal effort using a plastic fork (!!). That’s wild. However, there are a lot of fatty pieces (chiclette) that are too big to eat. They make up most of the portion of “meat” that you get. The pork it self is good but it’s missing that burst of flavour that you are used to with griot. This is probably because it wasn’t served with the ti malice sauce nor the spicy pickled onions (like at méli-mélo). The rice was soft and fluffy -decent. The pikliz was not flavourful enough and was on the sweeter side. A thicker cut for the veggies and more scotch bonnet pepper would make it pop more. Overall good quality meat but lacking on the flavour profiles. The resto has a lot of promise, I can’t wait to try again soon.

My first impression were that the prices were quite steep, but I'd heard Kwizinn was considered upscale Haitian. The plantain burger was underwhelming, instead of a bun it's a sort of plantain fritter which didn't hold the burger together. The fritter came apart and was hard to bite through, forcing the patty, thick tomato, and lettuce out of the burger. The accompanying home-style potatoes weren't much to write home about, they were various cuts of potato with seasoning salt. I know it was a burger but I wish the entire meal had more of that "Haitian" flavor, besides the plantain I didn't get much of that. My partners djon djon rice was really good, it was flavorful and I wish I just ordered that instead. The tassot beef on the other hand was overcooked and extremely dry, the flavor had been forced out. I'd return again for the djon djon.

I was craving griot and it was our first time coming here! Let me tell you, I was not disappointed at all. The ambiance was great. The staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming. We ordered haitian patties which I did not get to take a picture due to the fact that I was so hungry but boy oh boy it was delicious! Our two plates of griot were amazing satisfactory! The pork was fried to perfection. It was not dry or tough. It was juicy. The plantains were good and the rice was hot and the salad was refreshing. They could have been a little more generous with the pikliz but overall we were very happy and full! Cravings totally satisfied! We will be definitely coming back! Merci!! ***Update December 31 2021*** From 5 to 1 star We decided to order griot as our last meal of 2021 and I must say I am extremely disappointed. Over the years since covid, we have seen dramatic changes in their quality and quantity in their food decrease. We try so hard to support restaurants during these hard times by ordering and tipping extra to restaurants but every single time we order delivery from you, there is ALWAYS something missing or the quality of the food is down right spoiled. From saggy salads to funky smelling brown and clearly not fresh pikliz. Is there no one that inspect food quality no more? There are some items in your menu that are being delivered that are NOT EDIBLE! I also understand the increase in prices due to circumstances but from 3 plantain to 2? Honnêtement, nous sommes vraiment deçu.

Was wondering around Jean Talon and stumbled upon this wonderful little place. Great food and service. The chef could be heard singing from the kitchen. He has a great voice!

Me and my wife stumbled upon this gem while visiting Montreal for the first time. Plaza Creole was great! The food had the authentic Haitian taste from my homeland. We also had the opportunity to speak with the owner for a while who was nice and welcoming. Check this place out if you want good Caribbean Haitian cuisine in an environment that lends itself to authenticity. It won’t disappoint. Thanks again Plaza Creole!
