Disorganized, low quality courses, horrific customer service. bottom line, stay away and don't waste your money. Wish I could give zero stars!

A view of Yonge St from 1 Yonge Street, where Toronto Star and CollΓ¨ge Boreal are located. Worth a walk on Queen’s Quay/Yonge St.

Post-secondary education in French but also French-as-a-2nd Language courses for adults: 10 levels, small groups, high-tech classrooms, FSL certification and very competitive prices (starts at 7$/hour!).

I'm currently in my second semester of Beginner's French. There are three tiers of Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced/Expert French. Each semester lasts 15 weeks on Monday nights (so it could take longer than 15 with long weekends). This means that each tier will last one year. To go through the entire course from Beginner to Advanced will take you approximately three years, straight through. The only reason I am not giving a 5-star rating is because they do not have a process to cut down this time. I would be willing to take this course two or three times a week to reduce the three years (and be willing to pay more, as well). Other than my singular gripe above, this course is wonderful. Our professor is from a French speaking country and has lived in France. He utilizes many source of learning - not just the textbook - in an effort to keep the class educational and interesting for the students. The subject material is good, but could be more challenging (this will depend on the student, of course). Last week we met a student who was in his third-year, and he spoke French nearly fluently. I would recommend College Boreal to those who are not in a rush to learn French, prefer small class sizes, and on a budget.

Service offered in French or English. Friendly staff and free access to employment support. It’s not at street level so you have to know it’s there.
