★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We brought in our espresso machine with the hopes that two of the switches could be replaced (we had to hold them down with our finger rather than it catching and holding in the ON position). Aside from that, it was a perfectly functioning machine. When we picked up the machine, the switches were the same (apparently long discontinued- no fault there), but we were assured the machine had a good tune up (to the tune of $260). We brought the machine home and fired it up, still holding the buttons with our fingers, and it pumped only cold water instead of hot. We brought it back, where they proclaimed that the heating element was now fried and not replaceable, and offered to give us $70 from our 'repair' bill back.
Things happens when you mess with old machines, I get that. But the whole experience has incompetence written all over it, with a dash of dishonesty.
To recap:
-Didn't fix the issue that we brought it in for
-'Fixed issues that didn't exist ($70 replacement of a fuse that worked fine when we brought it in)
-Broke things that worked when we brought it in - the heating element.
-Charged a lot of money for the 'repair,' told us we were SOL, and then washed their hands of it.
Can't recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely no help after driving across the city to speak with someone about my coffee maker. Was quoted 2 days just to speak with a knowledgeable staff member. I do not doubt the quality of the repairs but the business model and customer service was very disappointing. As they are the only repair shop in Winnipeg I am not surprised with the low quality of service.
