★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve driven past this monument on the way to my cabin for the past 25 years and it never ceases to catch my eye. It’s worth the hike up the steep stairs to see it up close. A ledge that surrounds the lighthouse makes for an excellent picnic location with a great view.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing hidden treasure on the prairies. I love the story behind this lighthouse and it was fun taking a pit stop here and climbing up the steps to watch the sunset.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The lighthouse is good shape. The view from the top overlooks the beach community of Cochin. If you are nearby it is worth a visit, but I wouldn't go out of the way to see it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Moderately easy stairs. Not a bad idea to bring some water with you. Very nice view from the top - see the city on one side and the lake on the other. The lighthouse viewpoint is kept clean and there are nicely painted benches to sit. Overall, a good evening spent on a sunny day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely stunning view. The stairs up to the lighthouse are in good shape, but very narrow to pass others. There is wrap around bench to sit on and enjoy the view and take photos. The parking lot is spacious and can fit 7-10 vehicles. There are garbage cans available at this tourist attraction as well. Just a heads up that in spring there are TONS of fish flies.
