Coca-Cola when I worked there was a fantastic company to work for. They were fair and paid an excellent wage to their employees with a few added bonuses throughout the year like pizza delivered to the main lunchroom and discounts on various products we could purchase directly from Coca-Cola. If I remember correctly the 591 ml bottle of Coke was .75 per bottle from the vending machines in the company’s warehouses. The managers were always willing to listen and discuss any topics of concern we might have had. The work was very physically demanding most of the time, unless you were in the bulk delivery division and then it was very easy on the body. The company paid a lot of attention to all the aspects of safety doing the work that was required of us, except for learning how to lift and move with the various loads we lifted. The trucks were always kept in good condition and they stressed the importance of doing a thorough pre trip and post trip inspection of the vehicles and trailers. Overall working for Coca-Cola was a very interesting experience and a lot of fun, I had only two or three negative experiences and except for one incident the others involved customers who had a bad day or some other issues that day unrelated to the work that I was doing. I hope that it’s still a great company to work for.
