I was a customer of Claudette's for years (buying off the rack) and thought she would make a beautiful wedding dress for me and a dress for my mother. Instead she produced a dress of extremely low quality with both low quality fabric and construction, that was no where near what we originally discussed. Attached image is what Claudette first made after we discussed a 'dark purple dress with see-through and see-through illusionary elements'. Note this image is also after the dress has been pinned to improve the fit...it was even worse before the pins. Before I arrived for this fitting she repeatedly told me how beautiful the dress was looking. For my mom's dress, she said she would make the one my mom tried on in a different colour, but when my mom received it, it was so big it was falling off her and had weird gaping fabric because of how badly it was sewed (another seamstress said she couldn't even fix it). Claudette refused to acknowledge any of this and forced us to pay in full. Unfortunately Claudette does not have the best interest of her clients in mind - do not trust her.

This shop and our experience in it, were exactly what we were hoping for. Claudette served us personally. Her expertise and prompt delivery were beyond what we dreamed possible. The dress was perfect, and exactly the price my daughter had saved. I found a mother of the bride dress there as well, (in fact I found 2, one for each of my childrens' weddings last year!!) It felt like a miracle to find this gem of a shop. Within a few hours of landing in Montreal, my daughter had her dream wedding dress and the exact experience she'd prayed for!! Thank you Claudette! I recommend this shop to all!!

Elegant, fit like a glove and stood up well to a night of dancing. No surprise as there are easily 20 pieces in my closet that I have purchase from Claudette over the years ( both custom and off the rack; dressy and casual ). The style, quality and service is always exceptional. Made and designed locally by Claudette, a talented designer who always wants her customers to feel and look their best in her designs.

Communication was excellent, the work was incredibly prompt and the dress itself is beautiful. Claudette has a quiet deadpan charm that, judging from other reviews, perhaps others have misinterpreted as bluntness. The dresses are very reasonably priced considering the wonderful quality of workmanship.

As the pandemic hit I wanted to make sure to do what I could to support her craftsmanship and artistry, so I ordered via her online store. She called me to make sure she got the right size--and even remembered me from my last trip to the store. Everything arrived (in Yellowknife!) looking and fitting wonderfully! I figure it's an investment in the future--and meanwhile I plan on rocking some swank looks in the occasional zoom call. Bon courage, talented Claudette!

I loved the experience of working for her. She taught me a lot about all aspects of her business, and was very patient with me as got accustomed to the sales portion of the role. I have to say, every time I pass the old location (on St.Laurent/north of Duluth) I will tell whoever I'm with about her amazing store. I also recommend her dresses for anyone who is looking for a less BCBG, more unique, but equally polished look-a special occasions must! She is really a talented designer and part of what makes Montreal what it is!
