Circle K, Your Community & You

We believe that people are a critical part of the Circle K brand, so we’ve fostered a culture which educates, inspires and empowers all our people to “Do the right thing” for everyone in the Circle K world. Circle K has a strong focus on training and motivation. That’s one of the reasons why, in the end, we can pride ourselves on providing the best customer experience in the convenience industry. And why we will sustain continued growth and leadership in the marketplace.

History of Circle K Stores

Circle K Stores are owned by Alimentation Couche-Tard, the largest convenience store operator in Canada. Circle K’s success in the convenience retailing industry spans more than 60 years. Back in 1951 when Fred Hervey purchased three Kay’s Food Stores in El Paso, Texas, little did anyone know these stores would serve as the beginning of Circle K, now, a proudly Canadian company.

During the next few decades, Circle K grew its retail network through a series of acquisitions, eventually incorporating into the Circle K brand. By 1975, there were 1,000 Circle K stores across the U.S. In 1979, Circle K entered the international market when the first Circle K stores were established in Japan. The company’s growth continued and, by 1984, sales had reached $1 billion.

A new milestone was attained in 1999 when Alimentation Couche-Tard acquired Mac’s Convenience Stores and became the largest national convenience store network in Canada – a distinction it still proudly holds today. Couche-Tard launched into the US market with the acquisition of Circle K stores in 2003 and has since developed into a global brand represented in over 20 countries.

Circle K has become one of the most widely recognized convenience store brands in the world, known for quality products and great customer service. We’ve come a long way since our humble beginnings, and we’re proud of where we’ve been and where we’re going.

Average experience. Usually greeted but rarely helped. They just got a new taquito/hot dog food setup though which might be worth trying.

One cashier asked for my ID which I forgot, send in my VERY much younger sister and they don't ask for hers? Who puts taquitos in hot dog buns? One worker here does. Extra bang for your buck, I guess. The late night/early morning employees are spectacular and are known to go above and beyond job specifications. In store specials at this place are always outrageous! 4L of milk can sometimes be purchased here for cheaper than grocery store prices! Last week they had 4L of Coca-Cola for $3. Worth going here just for the savings.

Always the first to raise gas prices and last to drop gas prices is my reason for the rating.Slupees are good and staff is nice.

Great store dispite certain staff who won't get off their phone while conducting business with their customers. Don't buy their frozen pizzas either. I bought one and turned out to be bad. Me and my family got sick. And yes it was cooked properly according to the directions.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Gas is way over priced here compared to stores near by. Manager by the name of Amol or something similar, wont let you use valid coupons for drinks hotdogs etc.. workers always on there phones, never has clean floors.. whoever is running this sh!t store needs to be fired. If I could rate less that 1 star I would.

Called out the staff on their COVID measures posted on their door but not being followed. Staff thinks it was some joke. The one guy brushed it off and told me to call the city. The other guy stood there with his mask covering his mouth and not his nose. The place was packed way beyond the occupancy limit posted on the door. No one wearing a mask, not even staff. Putting your customers at risk! Nice job. I will be submitting a complaint to your head office and the city. I hope a fine comes your way. Based on your attitude today it may be the only way for you guys to learn.
