★ ★ ★ ★ ★ quite expensive and the food wasnt that great. 2 kababs were for $6! no specials as I bought 1 dozen for $36. 2* because they had lots of east african street foods (pricey) that I havent eaten for a long time. $200 for a handful of stuff was not worth it. will not return

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delightful experience at Chuma’s!! I tried this place out after repeated recommendations from friends and now I understand why they insisted! The food was impeccable. The beef short ribs were my favourite, although the lamb chops were also first-rate. I normally cannot stand the smell of lamb but Idk what this chef did to make it smell and taste so divine. The service was also fanstastic. The owner was a sweetheart and clearly cares about his customers. I will be back ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was so delicious. I really appreciate the hospitality of the management. I recommend this place to everyone who is going to visit Calgary anytime soon. Every food that was served was cooked to its perfection. The taste was very good. I felt like I was back to East Africa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down best BBQ place in the city! Best halal ribs! I always get the BBQ platter for 2 or 4. I loved the spice mix for the lamb so I asked them to make my ribs with the mishkaki spice mix and it was delicious. My friend had the beef samosa is so fresh and perfect spicy. The space is small so best I think to take out if large group.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Previously very famous as Africana, the same team has put together an excellent restaurant. All BBQ items, specially the ribs, are divine. The menu is huge! A couple of my friends like crazy spicy food and their 'suicide' spice level did the trick. They have milder levels too of course. If I lived in Calgary I would eat here every week!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DELICIOUS FOOD, best eaten freshly served! We got one of their large platters and enjoyed every last item, along with some of the best masala fries I've had anywhere. Their halal beef ribs certainly live up to expectation, just wish they had a larger seating area.
