First time here although I’ve noticed this place for a long time. This place looks quite small but when we went we got our table right away. Food price was normal, all you can eat is around 25 per person plus the price of the soup, tips and tax you’re looking at around $40 per person. Service was quite slow as at the time I visited, there were only 2 servers. Servers were friendly and did their best in spite of being under staffed. I wasn’t too happy with the accuracy of the food I ordered, true, this was an all you can eat place but when I ordered 12 pieces of tofu, only 2-3 came. Encountered the same issue when we ordered the beef and pork slices. I’m not sure if it was just an oversight or if the owner was afraid we may not be able to finish our order so they deliberately cut down the amount of food. Overall this is a fair place, not too good but nothing too bad either.

This review is for the Surrey location on Scott Road only. Usually I don't post reviews but these people have absolutely no customer service skills and absolutely are very rude when confronted. Giving back a refund is like pulling teeth. Almost like its against their store policy! By the way, we also saw a rat inside the restaurant too. When I told one of the guys there he looked at me as if it was no big deal and said yes it is a restaurant after all.

AVOID! The pot came with a layer of foam bubble from dishwasher cleaner on the top. I asked waitress to change it but she refused to do so and insisted their pot is clean. The soup tastes awfully salty after asking for water refill few times.

The shrubs in front of the restaurant provides privacy for junkies to shoot up and discard their used needles on the ground. Other assortments of trash were also littered in the entrance - it was not a pleasant first impression. After being seated, the tables were dirty - stained with water markets and a bit sticky. We got the all you can eat menu and the first round of food was surprisingly good. I started getting my hopes up - big mistake. The service slowly decreased when we ordered seconds (server forgetting certain dishes, etc). We decided it's time to go when they brought us a platter of angus beef that looked suspiciously like pork (look at that fat) and it smelled like it's gone sour from being left out unrefrigerated for too long. If I wanted to risk stepping on needles and eating shoddy food, I would walk around DTES and go to the Balmoral. Would not recommend this place.

PROS: - they give you more than what you ordered. (5 pieces turned out to be 15 and 2 pieces become 6, or sometimes you get things you never ordered.) - it's quiet and always seats available. (But we kinda see why now) - there's some dishes that other hotpots don't have. - they don't charge more for what is left over. - the waiters are nice. CONS: - the DIRTIEST hotpot restaurant you will ever be in. The fabric seats are never vacuumed or wiped. The knob to turn the hotpot on/off is DISGUSTING. people's dirty food hands touch it the most but they've never once wiped it or sanitized it. I'm sure that they don't even want to touch it themselves. We took a wipe and left it on top to turn it. If it was anyone else, they woulda left. The place is so filthy, sometimes I question how dirty the food and sauces might be. But we ate anyways and wiped the utensils ourselves. - the workers ALWAYS have friends hanging out there until closing. - they have a mask on their chin but none of them use it to cover their mouths, they even cough and sneeze alot too. - they smoke cigarettes outside the back door every 30 mins - hour and as costumers, we can smell it very strongly as it blows into the restaurant. The back door is usually always open. The smell is so strong, it's almost like we are outside with them. I'm not even sure if they wash their hands each time either. There's also kids inside the restaurant too. - they tend to run out of alot of things on the menu without letting us know and also missed a couple dishes both times. Or even bring us the wrong dishes sometimes as well. We don't complain though. Honestly if somebody complained to food safe. This place would be doomed. I hope they manage it better as we do want to continue eating there. But we are completely turned off by how gross and lack of cleaning they do. We will see.

Great experience! Food is fresh, excellent quality; service is helpful and supportive. To preface, this is very much a Korean and Chinese place; I am caucasian and stood out like a sore thumb (wandered inside killing time). I was the only one for over an hour. This is not for the faint of a caucasian heart ? Food is not in English and you have to ask for it to not be spicy. But it is a good experience and safe introduction to hot pot.

We ordered one spicy and one mushroom soup base. Both were incredibly salty, though full of flavours, they left you thirsty. Some items were not available but they wouldn’t tell you. They’d just not come. The appis were decent, though not for me. Thee soy sauce was also very salty… so I ended up not using the soy sauce for my dipping sauce.
