Worse place I’ve ever been I’ve met homeless people who are more polite than the teachers. Homework is absolutely murderous, the homework load uses more time that’s the actual classes. If you’re planning on learning a new language just learn something else that’s not Chinese, this is Canada. A huuuuge waste of my parents $250

Teachers are good so far for my 2 girls (in level 5)! The current teacher is making them speak completely in Mandarin which is great! Staff is okay in front but their behavior is typical Chinese way, not rude, but can be inattentive.

A good place to learn Chinese, but in general, the actual building is quite run down, with graffiti all over the walls. The teachers aren't really the best, some do practically nothing to help the students while others will speak too fast for students to understand, and then give an unreasonable amount of homework. Still, it's a well priced place to go learn Chinese, and most of the actual Chinese content of the school is good.

I attended this chinese school as a child, and it was pretty brutal. For the most part, the teachers were short tempered and not very understanding. One of the head teachers yelled at the children and pretended to call the police on them if they misbehaved, making the situation even worse (children will believe anything, and at that time would think they'd actually go to jail), and the other teachers wouldn't do anything about it. They had 'reading time' where they'd force one kid to read a page of chinese on a board in front of the class, and if they weren't able to read it, they'd get yelled at in front of everyone. I'm giving this place two stars instead of one, since they hired one good teacher when I was there, Carmen 老师, who taught the upper level kids and was super sweet and patient, as opposed to the teachers downstairs. She doesn't work there anymore though.

My sister and I were forced to attend this “school” from a child to 16 and it has had lasting traumatic effects on us. We were sent there to learn Cantonese, but you were expected to know how to speak the language in the first place. The class was entirely in Cantonese.. Because we weren’t fluent we were treated with disdain most of the time. We were scolded and yelled at for not understanding what they wanted when we could barely understand it in the first place. It also had the most ridiculous amount of homework to do and so many tests requiring late nights on weekends to study. Also with completely white walls with scribbles and graffiti everywhere makes you want to go insane.
