Found out, that after they give you a list price, that they actually can lower the price up to 50% and the Van Hal's and salespeople are still making money at the "reduced" price. Biggest rip off is their "superior" ice melt products. All manufactured by someone else, and they get their label put on it. Don't be fooled when they say they have a "powder facility" by Edmonton. They don't, but their ice melt producer has one in Acheson. There "best" product is nothing more than calcium chloride.

I have found her to be one of the most helpful and knowledgable reps I've come across in the industry. Her customer service is second to none. Not to mention the products she suggests rocks! Our crews have never been disappointment.

She is always willing to answer questions (via Email or in person) about certain products as well. They also offer small free samples to test and make sure it is the right product before you buy larger amounts.

The products we ordered were not only unavailable in the lower mainland but were marked up over 400%. Chemfax had EXACTLY what we needed and delivered quickly and at a lower price than local.
