I recently toured the Chartwell St. Albert Residence. It has under gone some renovations and is looking renewed and modern. I was very impressed by the size of the suite I was shown and the fact that it has a full kitchen.

Over the past few years I have worked fairly closely with Caroline Redington the Retirement Living Consultant. She has always been a huge resource helping my clients transition into a retirement home. She not only very knowledgeable and accommodating she is a great resource for planning for retirement living. Current residents I have spoken to, have expressed how seamless the process was and are glad they made the lifestyle change on their own terms. I know a few residents at Chartwell in St. Albert that are now living their best life in retirement.

My parents signed up to begin living at Chartwell St Albert today and the staff was terrific to them at the medical assessments and rental agreement discussions we had at the building. They were very kind, understanding and thorough with my parents. I appreciate their help and support.

I had the privilege of touring Chartwell St. Albert with a group of local business people who offer services to seniors. I definitely could feel the positive energy in the community and was very impressed with not only the modern dรฉcor of the building and the modern suites we toured, but the overall cleanliness as well. Steven's passion for this community and the seniors who live here was very obvious.

My aunt was a resident at this disaster of a home. She had early stages of dementia but was still quite capable. She was always treated as a child and talked down to. Complaints on food went unnoticed, even scoffed at. The poor quality continued to rude staff and pushy nursing. Covid was a convenient excuse, and often blamed for poor treatment and neglect. The manager Ola macintosh was terrible to deal with and snappy at the best of times. Recreation was the only positive but the manager of that department has since moved on. My aunt has also left. It was supposed to be her home and she felt like a prisoner. Ola and (not all) but the rude and canโ€™t be bothered staff should be ashamed. Nurses should remember why they became nursesโ€ฆ.. to care. You work in the facility, you donโ€™t own it. The residents should be considered as owning it as it is their home.

My mother has lived in Chartwell since August 2021. Previously, she had been in her home for 58 years. Her move to Chartwell went very well thanks to Caroline who made the transition seamless. She helped us with the forms, logistics, guided tour, as well as answering our many questions. Her background, education, experience and understanding of seniors and their individual needs, gave us the reassurance that we were making the right choice. My mother settled in quickly. She loves going down to the dining room for dinner. The variety and quality of the food is excellent. Staff and other residents are friendly and helpful. She now attends activities, movies and her hair appointments. Last week she cut our phone conversation short as she was late going to "Happy Hour". Thank you, for this new adventure and for providing a safe, comfortable living environment for my mother. Sue E M

I recently toured this facility with their Retirement Living Consultant, Steven Krahn, in an effort to look for a place for my ailing mother and I was very impressed with the renovations, the attention and care the facility took in offering a wide variety of programs for those in their care. I found Mr. Krahn to be incredibly knowledgeable, deeply caring about all the residents in the facility and I left feeling as though my mother would be in excellent care should I choose this facility moving forward. Thank you Mr. Krahn for making a tough family moment easier with your compassionate and friendly approach.
