Close to two years ago, we were contact by Walters Craft Caesar - they had just signed a publishing deal with Penguin Random House and requested we contribute a caesar cocktail recipe to include in their inaugural book.

To celebrate the launch of Caesar Country; Cocktails, Clams & Canada and as a prelude to Canada Day festivities - we’ll be featuring caesar creations from the book on Thursday, June 30th. We’ve picked one recipe from each region ( west / prairies / central / maritimes), and will be shaking, mixing, muddling, and stirring all day long.

We’ll also be giving away copies of the book to three lucky winners, along with three $50 gift cards from Chartier.

They did my birthday cake this year and I did not want to share it! I never walk out of there empty handed either, great selection of breads and other market items. They’ve also done a tremendous job navigating COVID and communicating policies to their customers. Quite admirable.

I had heard of Chartier's reputation but had never ventured so far off my radar before. Let me say that my mind (palette) were amazed. First off, I was surprised to see that there were no tables available on a chilly Wednesday night. For good reason. So I sat at the bar. The bartender was very well versed with the menu and was so pleasant to speak with...not at all overbearing but always attentive. As it was Wednesday, I was informed that it was fish and chips night. So I ordered the special and upgraded the fries to poutine...it is Chartier after all. This was probably one of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Add in the ambience and overall experience and it's, without a doubt, a five star rating. No matter where you live in Edmonton, it's worth the drive. ?

We had the Bread and butter with a side of Brulee'd Bri to start then the Breakfast Poutine and Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich. Both were fabulous and the service was top notch! We really enjoyed ourselves, thank you for the experience
K	Kelsey Chow on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chartier is a most delicious and charming place to visit. I love the eclectic mugs and plates and it truly adds to the charm. The brunch is my favorite and you're going to need a reservation because it is so busy on the weekends (that just speaks to how scrumptious the food is!). They use lots of local products and keep it real... real tasty! It's unpretentious dining with friendly staff and they're checking up on you just enough but not too much. If you're busy, you can always order from their bakery online an hour before the restaurant opens for same day pick up only, but you shouldn't delay too long as breads, cake slices, and their gourmet donuts and GIANT cinnamon buns literally fly off the shelves. We've been for brunch many times since they've opened and everything is delicious. I love the breakfast poutine and the Benny is also amazing; Les oeufs is a good solid plate as well. Cheers to the happy memories here and more to be made. You're going to want to make the trek out here to enjoy a yummy meal. Chartier is also active on social media and just a phone call away for the latest updates on dine-in vs take-out. With such uncertain times, they're doing their best to keep their staff and patrons safe and I definitely appreciate it.

I have not had this level of dinning in terms of taste, price, and presentation for many years. The meals are so nutritious that the serving sizes fill you up. I’ve been to many restaurant chains where I could eat the same amount of food, but be hungry an hour later due to the food being highly processed and fast. I went with a party of 6, and we all loved our meals. I was so happy to see Vegan options too! The service was incredible, everyone working is pleasant, efficient, and full of knowledge. The decor is eclectic and well thought out, making the space warm and inviting. Now let’s talk the bakery! WOW! Be sure to preorder at 10am the morning you go and grab that Sourdough and donuts. The donuts are unique as they are not overly sweet and the taste will surprise you with its accuracy to its title. I cannot wait to be back. Hats off to the chef and owner. 10/10!
D	Don Wong on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So happy with brunch today. Food was great and explored the local brews. The bartenders were the most friendly of hosts. The only disappointment was they sold out of cinnamon buns, but did you know they sell bake at home cinnamon tins now?

The restaurant was very busy a d they were running a little behind. So, they could not get a table for us at our reserved time. They offered us the bar seat till the time they could find a table and offered free drinks. We were very impressed at the communication they had within themselves. Everybody who attended us knew exactly what was going on, and apologized for the wait. The cocktails were amazing! We got a table only after a couple of sips. I am not going to explain how good the food and desserts were. It should be sufficient to say that we are already planning to go back to Beumont to try other dishes from this establishment. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciate great French cuisine and absolutely fantastic service!
