★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The New Match Eatery is awesome. No more having to drive over the bridge for a nice place. It's gonna be my new local. A shuffle board table to boot. Good priceing for happy hour specials. The other bars in town should be worried.
1 observation, the glass washer should be moved from under the nice bar. The steam and water will destroy the new woodwork in no time. Just speaking from experience cause we spend a lot of time in bars. The Retired Malahat boys.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ate here with my girlfriend's parents. The food was really great and the atmosphere of the restaurant section was fun and relaxed, like a comfy sports bar. However, I find it too bad that they don't have any poker/card tables... The casino side of things is really lacking in my opinion.. Slot machines are basically just money machines for them, and that is the only 'casino' service they offer... They don't have to pay staff to be dealers etc... Having recently moved to the Comox Valley, I was disappointed to learn that I wouldn't be able to satisfy my desire to be surrounded by people looking for a little gambling excitement with the opportunity to employ some skill and thought, other than just pulling a lever...
