Excellent display describing a 10,000-year old quartzite quarry used by Aboriginal people after the last ice age. The out-buildings contain some historical treasures as well A must see if you are in the area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice small yet unique museum honoring the historical elements and people who existed throughout the centuries on Manotoulin . It is a great 1st stop to learn about the generational influence on the island. Names and locations then give reference to historical events in these places. Enjoyed the artifacts and personal items connecting the past to the present.The smaller cottages were also unique as I felt like I entered a genuine home from centuries ago...even smelled like it was from that era lol. Amazing place and lady at the front was very friendly. A must visit!!
