Best beer League in the city! The owners are doing it for the love of the sports, not for money like many other leagues, to me that says it all. Give them a try, you wont regret it!!

Hands down the best league to play in. Not only do they have great fees, but they give back to the players...lots of contests to enter, with great prizes. Highly recommend checking them out if your team is looking for a new home.

I have been playing in this league for a few years now, it’s good clean hockey and good clean fun. There are many different tiers for any skill level. I’ve played other leagues and felt it was a bit β€œchippy” and I can honestly say this league has figured that out.

This league is hands down the best league in the city. I’ve made some amazing friends through teams as well as the leadership team. Love being around these guys and all the little things they do for us the players. Can’t wait to get on the ice again!

As someone who has run many teams over the course of 9 years, I can say, without a doubt, that the CCSL is easily the best and most customer-oriented. I've never been able to just text the directors to get an answer nearly immediately, nor have I seen the directors care so much about their league. Ben, Cam, and Candice run the league so well and genuinely take concerns, suggestions, and the well-being of the players to heart. All of the leagues in Calgary should take some notes from the CCSL, as I firmly believe that they're at the top of the standings.

The CCSL (formerly SHHL) has by far been the best rec league that I've played in. The directors of the league have always been very personable, easy to deal with, and divisional/skill level distribution has always been pretty fair in my experience (for the most part anyway lol). Statistics are always managed and updated very promptly - sometimes even the same night, but usually next day at the latest. My favorite part of the entire league is the community atmosphere and all of the "extras", such as professional photos taken at some games, player of the month nominations, game of the week spotlights, league events (holiday parties etc), and many more. Overall, it's an amazing place to play, and I highly recommend!!

Good experience with this League. Have been playing in many leagues and by far this one has been the top of my list in terms of organization and great all around atmosphere. Their GM meetings are a blast to attend, meet with all the other GMs and the folks who run the league.. personal touch!!.. hope they can keep that going!!

Great league, well run, wide range of skill levels, good seeding procedures, and double elimination playoffs. Far cheaper than the NCHL with better ice times and locations (no Chestermere, DeWinton or Springbank games that I’ve seen!). Plus the scorekeepers even keep track of shots. What’s not to love?
