Was nice before, now it's infested with drugs and noisy people. Happy I moved in time.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I still reside here and I hate it more than anything. I have a huge problem with the downstairs neighbours. We moved in in November and the neighbours have been extremely noisy ever since. We wrote two letters to the superintendent asking for something to be done about it and even asked the tenants below us to politely be quiet and nothing has been done. We can hear them screaming all throughout the day and all throughout the night. It is ruining our sleep and considering we all work lengthy hours that is a problem. Don’t waste your money living here.

I moved in last summer with my kids and I have found the surrounding neighbourhood and building community to be safe and friendly. There is access to bike paths and a great toboggan hill a few steps from the building. I had a couple questions and issues since moving in and found the Minto staff to be extremely responsive and helpful. I'm quite happy with the building and am not looking to move any time soon. The only thing that would make my stay better is an underground parking spot. Who likes parking outdoors in the winter? LOL

Great location and Great view (5 star) (reason why we moved in). Tiny bathrooms (not accessible) and limited underground parking. Paid visitor parking. Many of the tenants are nice, always a few bad apples. Some units have laundry in suite. If not you have the coinamatic laundry room in the lower ground, about 5+$ wash and dry. There is storage you can rent, does get broken into, so have insurance. The building management will not let people in after hours for storage access, so no early entry.(early hockey practice) Pool is closed after 8 pm but the gym is open 24 /7. Both are affect due to Covid 19 protocols. The sauna has been closed since the beginning of the pandemic, and still is. Bell service is problematic, due to poor wiring set ups. Installs/Repairs may take 2 weeks to be done. Some unit require wifi boosting due to placement of phone jacks. MAX internet speed is 50mb as it is based on two phone line systems. We changed to Rogers and are definitely happier. This building is not accessible for those with mobility issues, unless you go through the garage, you have stairs all the. I assume they have legacy for the AODA. Moving in or out is a pain, as the access is via the underground garage. Thankfully they put the elevators on service and have handi accessible door. Still difficult to enter due to button placement, but this was recently installed, so it is better tham before. Recycling both plastic and paper are in the garage. If you have issues you are able to call the company even after hours, but it hit and miss for corrective actions. Constantly being renovated 2020-2021 so working from home has constant noise. I am disappointed, on the impact that this has, and the mentality of not our problem. I know rent keeps going up, it's within their legal right, the faceless company has no care for the inconveniences they create, because they give notice. Hope this info helps

I have lived here since June 2019. The following are things I wish I had known before moving in: 1. There is constant construction while they renovate empty units to update them. Working from home can be very difficult with all the noise. 2. WEEKLY Water supply shut down during the day - I think some are emergency to fix old pipes but some are linked to the construction/renovations of new units. 3. the hours of the pool are very short - closes at 8pm every night. opens only at 12 noon on weekends. 4. No central air, and limited capacity for running portable air conditioners due to not enough electrical breakers in the larger (4 bedroom) apartments 5. Minto cheaped out on faucets and sinks, etc. 6. Minto raises the rent over the allowed %

EDIT: after two years, there was nothing but issues.. the power is always out, the water constantly shut off and don’t even get me started on the construction all day most days!! DO NOT MOVE WITH MINTO!!!!! Beautiful apartments, amazing neighborhood, I am not a fan or the asbestos on the ceiling or balcony but so far it’s been an amazing place to live! Very nice tenants and employees in the building along with many beautiful dogs and walking trails close by!

Constant construction noise (since at least 2019, also incredibly loud at times sounds like a jackhammer in your unit loud), constant water shut downs, more than one electrical fire, an emergency electrical shutdown for 24 hours during a 40 degree heat wave that they barely tried to compensate for, also cars keep getting broken into (not mintos fault but still good to know for people considering moving here), lots of Tennant's have issues with their heating either not working or kicking in randomly. Minto is not a great rental company and this building is particularly trash. Also they keep increasing rent by more than the 1.2% because of their "renovations" building is also not accessible for people using mobility aids and roughly a hundred other problems mostly with the company, would not recommend!!
