★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love Castaways. The staff are always friendly and helpful, they have a wild mix of clothing and items for really good prices and the atmosphere is both inviting and nostalgic. As an added bonus, they support the Lacombe Action Group, which is an essential service for families with disabilities. Definitely my first choice for a thrift store!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been shopping here for years! Always loved it, it's my favorite thrift store in Alberta! They have great prices and there's always at least a few hidden gems in amongst the racks. Definitely recommend:)

Since covid prices have sky rocketed to just below new price and yet they get it free (free) not thift prices anymore. Don't bother doing any product research on your own on various products in the store. You will be told tae it or leave it with an attitude. If you want a good place to go donate to renew thift in red deer and shop there. A ladies shirt starting price at castways is $6 ... renew $1.00.. I won't be donating or buyin from castways anymore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have tried to shop here many times and I just can't get past the prices. They charge more than Walmart or even other stores for used items that they are given. I hope that they start reconsidering their pricing so that I can start shopping there in the future.
