Hard to reach on the phone, poor communication regarding repair process and additional delay. Hopefully the repair quality is better than their customer service.

This is the worse customer service I have ever had! They have had my car for over almost a month, original estimate was 4-5 days. Repair is going through insurance. Never once have I had a call to give me an update on the status of my car. At day 5, I called and asked if my car was ready. They claimed that there was additional damage and awaiting approval from insurance. I asked that they send me information regarding what the additional damage was. They promised the manager would call me. Never got a call or any information. I called back and found out it was additional $2500 on top of the $5000 quote. Was told it would take another week. No word from them for a week, I called again to check the status. Got approximate completion date and they said would take another week. Again no word after a week, I called again and claim that they are waiting on approval from adjuster for a part and it should be ready in 2 days. Called everyday and no confirmation. Asked to speak to manager and my husband called 4 times. No return call from manager. I now have no idea why my car is so delayed and what the cost of the repair is though it is all going through insurance, I would like to know what was supposed to be a bumper and fender damage how now taken almost a month with no idea when the car will be ready. I have spoken to other friends who have used Carstar at numerous other locations with good communication, I cannot understand why this location cannot give me the courtesy of a call or email to let me know the status of my car. I suspect they are taking advantage of my insurance policy. Just adds to the stereotype of the crookedness of bodyshops. I would hope this review will warrant at least a freaking phone call back! Update: I got my car back last week a day later than they said it would be ready again with no call from them saying it was further delayed leading almost stranded scrambling for a car rental at 5pm! This is a satellite location and the woman, Emily who delivered my car to this location from the body shop never once acknowledged or apologized for the delay or lack of communication. I got the bill and it was $10000! Double the original quote. This is why our car insurance is so high because of these crooks milking our insurance companies. Stay away from this location and its sister location on Finch in Downsview where the work was done. The manager had promised to send me an itemization that caused the delay and also a voucher to apologize for the delay and as usual no word from him. This is by far the worst experience all around. This is a franchise and I will be letting their head office know my disgust.
