Raymonde is a floral artist and the founder of Blooms by Bloy. After over 40 years of home gardening and travelling many parts of the world with her now deceased husband (Feb. 1st, 2016) and business partner Graeme Bloy; a new passion for creating beautiful art emerged. Raymonde’s inspiration for her art comes from man-made sculptured landscapes and the natural beauty of Mother Nature, especially the coral reefs of our oceans. Through her creativity and imagination, Raymonde brings custom floral artistry to your business, home and garden.

So far so good. Ordering xmas arrangement for my mom and sister in Carstairs from Saskatoon. Owner is a delight to chat with and I cant wait to see what she does.

I ordered flowers for my mom's (Shirley) 90th birthday from "In Bloom" in Didsbury. Due to an emergency, but not contacted by owner, our order was handed off to "Blooms by Bloy". Our bouquet was delivered at 7:30 p.m., even though the hour was late in delivering, Ms.Bloy was in no hurry to leave, making sure we were thoroughly happy with our bouquet. Tomorrow, will be 2 weeks, and the we still have flowers from that bouquet. We would certainly recommend this florist!!

My initial experience with Raymonde, owner of Blooms by Bloy in Carstairs, began as a very positive one. She had created and delivered a couple bouquets for our house warming as well as my birthday. My husband was impressed by her kindness and attention to detail, so he had the idea of asking her to do our Wedding floral needs. I willfully agreed as it seemed like a great idea. From the get-go, the three of us had the mutual understanding that from a business perspective, it was important we knew going into things that if we were to cancel our floral order for what ever reason (especially with all of the covid uncertainty), that we would not be reimbursed our money, but rather, we would get a store credit. We agreed and signed away our consent to this rule. Our wedding was one week ago today, and I have given myself the needed time to focus on the joy of our day and not on my sheer disappointment and feelings of betrayal toward Raymonde. Just over a month prior to the wedding day, Raymonde had agreed to create corsages for my Mother, Mother in-law, and a couple weeks prior to the day, my Step-Mother in-law. A lot of coordinating went into this, including sending photo's of their dresses so that she could create corsages that would match their look. Raymonde also made the incredibly generous offer of making boutonniere's for the Father's in mine and my husband's family, at no cost. On the day of the wedding, she was scheduled to drop off florals at 12:30 in Canmore, which she had not arrived until after 1:30. The ceremony was to begin at 2:30, so although this was pushing it close, I did not make a fuss. When she had arrived, everyone was patiently waiting at my chalet for their floral arrangements, including my Dad, step-Dad, Father in-law, and our Mom's. She did not have any of their floral arrangements, and I still do not know why this is. With that said, none of us dwelled on it as we all had to rush to get to the ceremony. Had I known the day prior at the very least that she would not have these items, I would have phoned a local florist in Canmore and had them make these up. Although she did show up with the bridal party's florals, I was very disappointed. There was no heads up, no formal cancellation, nothing. Just a last minute text, one hour and ten minutes late for arrival, letting me know she did not have them. I was sure to request for my money back later that day (totaling about $230.00) considering I am a full-time student and I needed this money back more than I needed more flowers from Raymonde's shop. That day she texted back, tallying up the total she would be transferring being $236.25, telling me she would e-transfer that back to me the following day (September 27). The next day, she said "I decided to say yes I would refund so that you could get back to focusing on your Wedding Day." And then she threw her business policy back in my face saying that because the order was cancelled, she would not refund me and instead give me store credit. To say I have been disheartened would be an understatement. The entire ordeal was so wrong. I did not engage in a back-and-forth with Raymonde, but I let her know that I did not want to enter into any issues over this and that I would kindly ask for my money back, even if I had to wait. I understand that small businesses have struggled in face of changes related to covid, and I respect and support small businesses. But, this was wrong and what I experienced was unfair and unjust. I am sad to say that this has permanently stained my perception on Blooms by Bloy and I will not be supporting them in my future floral needs. -Kelly & Jade Peters

While her flowers are gorgeous, the customer service is deplorable. Showed up 1h30 late for a delivery at our event and didn’t want to park closer to our place for an easier unloading. A part of the order was missing and no notice was given. She initially agreed to a refund but then changed her mind and now refuses to refund us. Poor experience, I do not recommend this shop!

Ordered flowers all the way from BC for my best friend and the owner was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was able to complete and deliver the beautiful bouquet of flowers in less than 24hrs. Transaction was via e-tranfer so super easy and she gave me free delivery - would definitely order from again!
