Chemistry is a foundational building block to everything that surrounds us - and I was all but completely oblivious about the topic after the 10th grade. A combination of a lack of interest, motivation, and time hindered my commitment to the course, which was essential for my University acceptances. I was skeptical when I first met Mrs. Shakerinia the summer before 11th grade since I was nearly certain that I was simply "bad at chemistry". 2 years later, though, it's all thanks to Shahla for my fascination with this subject and that I've gotten into a top commerce program in Canada. Mrs. Shakerinia has all the qualities of an awesome teacher: she's patient, knowledgeable, and passionate about her subject. What sets her apart, though, is her ability to help you truly enjoy chemistry. I remember struggling with very simple balanced equations when I started with Shahla, but her engaging guidance helped me to work through things I never thought I'd understand. We've covered concepts from stoichiometry, chemical bonding, thermochemistry, kinetics, acids and bases, electrochemistry, and organics. As an ib student, there was a large amount of work for me outside of chemistry, and Shahla's flexible teaching style helped me to pace myself and our lessons perfectly to tackle the next test or exam. All in all, I have nothing but great things to say about Shahla. I'm a rather picky student and Mrs. Shakerinia is easily the best tutor I've ever had. Meanwhile, I also want to highlight the excellent service that Carrey’s staffs have provided to both students and parents, including all the communication, progress update, organization of all the competition activities etc. Carrey’s team is super!

I was tutored for IB English at this location for an entire year. I truly appreciate the professionalism and the support the teachers have provided for me during my last year of English studies. I would like to thank Mr. Andrew Kanerva. Thank you for taking your time to help me with the editing of many essays, and given me valuable critique for both my speech skills and my overall organization of writing structures. I would also like to thank Mr. Joshua Hernandez. Thank you for your help with editing my writing, as well as giving lectures where I was able to explore the creative and the analytical side of writing by using critical thinking, such as analyzing pictures, and then applying these skills into my own writing when analyzing different pieces of texts. Lastly, I appreciate Carrey International Education for providing these amazing teacher resources for students to obtain help from. As a student, it has been a pleasure to be taught here.
