★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have since received counseling and seen responsible therapists who acknowledge their patients when those patients set clear boundaries. Be careful with this one.
When trying to make an appointment, I explicitly stated which days of the week I would be available. At the time, I was doing this in order to avoid disappointing people because my mental health was creating long working days when I had certain activities to complete. Instead of finding a date in the future on one of those days of the week that I had given, this women suggested meeting late on a day that I had not listed. I was unprepared to have to enforce clear boundaries with a psychotherapist, of all people, so I agreed. Consequently, I was not able to make the session on time as my work ran late. I informed her by email and was promptly informed that I would still need to pay the $95 as per her contract. She may say that the contract gave clear information, to which I say that I gave clear information that she ignored to set her own agenda.
