"The pizza is so good it made me emotional. We shared a Capo pizza (white sauce, mushrooms, pecorino and truffle oil). Absolutely incredible. The dough is perfect, it's baked perfectly, the toppings are added in the perfect amount. It's just so good. The owner and the staff are wonderfully hospitable and gracious and I am really looking forward to coming back."

β β β β β I heard a lot about Carmines before visiting here yesterday. Absolutely gem of a pizzeria. Thereβs nothing fancy about the store (which doesnβt really matter to me) as such but their pizzas are heavenly. We tried the carmine special and drowning down the dill based on a friendβs recommendation. These guys are on top of their new york style pizza game. The crust, the toppings, the flavours everything was spot on. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to trying their other options (specifically the OG).

β β β β β I want to like Carmine's...I really do...but I just can't get past the crust. The staff are friendly, and the space is warm and welcoming. However, when you're one of the most expensive pizza places in the city, you can't be serving a crust that is best compared to something you'd get in the freezer section at the grocery store.

β β β β β Usually they're amazing! Due to the price we usually only get Carmines when it's just adults and no kids and the "fancier" pizza place we order from.
However we did call 30 minutes before closing without realizing the time....and he asked us to pick up within 20 minutes which is usually when we do anywho. I am a cook at another kitchen in town so I understand closing completely and did contemplate calling back to cancel but figured it was enough time.
I wish I went with that feeling. The pizza we picked up tonight (pick up order, not delivery) was sub par at best and feeling a bit "jipped" is what I want to say. The pizza was soggy and very slapped together. Not at all what I've received before.
If you don't want to make pizza 30 minutes before close, don't take a call in order? Just make up some excuse about you're already closing or just don't pick up the call? If you're going to charge $30 a pie approx. It should be the same quality throughout the 4 hour night.

β β β β β I was recommended to try this place. Service was great, they put together my order quickly when I arrived for pickup. The pizza was delicious and the crust is like Pizza Hut crust but better. I don't know what makes it a NY pizza but it's definitely my type of pizza. The dough was chewy but not too thick or thin. I got the "Hawaiian Vacation" which had a good amount of toppings and the taste was balanced.

β β β β β Very disappointing. I was excited to try this pizza based on all the rave reviews. However, it was not worth it, especially for the price. The pizza was bland and the crust was burnt. The mushrooms as seen in the picture were completely burned to a crisp and the cheese wasn't even fully melted. The arancini at least tasted good but couldn't make up for the terrible pizza. Wouldn't reccomend.
