A great private course that's not long but you better be careful. Anything off the fairways is trouble. Fast greens will challenge your putting skills. Great shape too.

Every one is friendly. The course is very walkable. The club is very egalitarian. The course is much more challenging than one would think when first seeing it. Very welcoming.

Fantastic private member-owned club and course. Perfect pristine conditions always, people-oriented club for men, women, seniors and families. Walkable. Golfers of all levels, including top regional golfers for those who want to be on strong competitive teams. Large junior program for both boys and girls. Multiple leagues for every taste, accessible tee times, great clubhouse services including exemplary kitchen. Both Pro and Assistant Pros of the Year for Otrawa in recent years.

As usual, Carleton is in fabulous condition. We never worry much about excessive rain because the course drains so well. The fairways are immaculate and the greens are as good as it gets. Carleton has a playing calendar second to none with leagues and events for every category of golfer.

I have had an incredible experience, playing Carleton over the past few seasons. From the extraordinary conditions, to the courteous and professional staff, to the friendly and welcoming membership. The course has surpassed my expectations in every facet. I look forward to continuing to play the course for many years to come.

I've been a member for some time. The course is challenging and fun for both beginners and advanced players, and it's always in immaculate condition. Because it is member-owned, club decisions are always about what's best for membersβ€”not best for a corporation. Made a lot of great friends, too!

Carleton is a great club! Not only is it a beautiful course and easily walkable....but there are many leagues and social events....something for everyone. I’ve been a member for 7 years and have made many new friends and learned a lot about golf!

Member last year. Course is always in amazing shape. Perfect even. That said, it's not the most interesting layout, fairly narrow, no elevation whatsoever. Hard time getting decent tee times as preferential for older members. Range often out of balls and not long so can't hit driver. Practice area is so-so. Halfway house/cart/resto-bar often not open with no identifiable hours, though I suspect they are typically open when members with early tee times play. No response from golf pros for lessons. Slow play still an issue like a public course. If you are a retiree who lives nearby it's a great option, but if sub 40 I'm not sure it's the best option out there. People who work there were all nice and courteous, but I feel like it's a club run by its older members specifically for its older members. Just my experience. I was an older intermediate (nearly 40) who paid nearly $3k, but often didn't get a tee off time on the weekend or got a time at like 3pm on a sunday. I talked to an older member who complained about me getting a discount and him subsidizing me and I asked him how many rounds he played/year. He said 100+. I played sub 40 and paid about $500 less and probably spent more per round on drinks/food. I ended up playing just as often at other courses as I couldn't get a decent tee time. So who is subsidizing who? I'm 38, not 17, so I can't play at whatever random time they give me on a weekend and be happy with that. I think they did away with the intermediates anyways, so mostly going to be seniors. The Carlingwood Mall of Ottawa golf IMO.
