Mr. Wark is Vice-President - Lending and Director of CareVest Capital Inc. Located in our Vancouver office. Mr. Wark is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, negotiating and managing both new mortgage transactions and existing accounts in British Columbia and Alberta. Mr. Wark has over 25 years of experience in the real estate finance industry including direct lending, and mortgage brokerage involving all commercial real estate product types with an emphasis on land development and construction projects. Mr. Wark holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from the University of Manitoba with a major in finance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not invest with this company. This is the second year I have tried to get my money back. They said they have an August window yet they say they have reached the limit. They just try and make it as difficult as possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the main problems with investing with Carecana/Carevest is that is really difficult to get your money back once you have invested. For example, to withdraw any money from the "Carevest Senior MIC" investment, you have to submit a retraction form in a specific week in February. This will allow you to withdraw a small port of your investment, typically around 10-15%. This is doled out in small monthly amounts over the next 10 months. If you miss submitting in this week in February, you miss out and have to wait until the next year. To get all of your money back, you would have to do this process every year and it would probably take about 8 years to get it all back. When we made this investment, no-one told us about this process.
