★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started out feeling overwhelmed by all the potential job opportunities and different directions I could take, and not knowing what could be the right fit for me. Through continuous focus on myself and putting to paper my values, talents, passions, and preferred work environment, I have a clearer picture of what types of careers can bring me joy. Garen has helped me remember to be true to myself, and strive for what I want, not what I might think others expect of me or think I should do. I am more aware of my strengths and natural talents, and have gained access to resources and tests that have helped me gain a new level of self-awareness. I have a few more sessions left, but I definitely feel I am on the right track!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the summer of 2020, I left a job that I held for over 20 years. I had thought that I'd retire there, but it had become a place that I knew I needed to leave. I was frightened. I was 59 years old, and had neither applied or interviewed for a new job in 25 years! I had been looking forward to winding down my career, not ramping it up. I knew that I needed help.
I contacted several career services, and chose to go with CareerJoy because they were the most responsive; I got a call back that day.
They paired me with someone tailored to my needs (George), and what a gift! George helped me to understand my value in my field, coached me on how to manage an interview, and how to communicate my value to prospective employers. I could say so much more, but by far, that was the best money that I ever spent. It was an investment in myself, because the personal gains I made through my contact with CareerJoy remain with me today. Thank you!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give them less stars I would! They took advantage of me when I was at my weakest. There are so many other great resources out there that will give you more help then what you pay at Career Joy. I almost feel like reporting them to better business bureau! PLEASE do not pay the 2000+$. The lady that was assisting me at the YMCA for free created a far better resume! Career Joy makes me sick that they can take advantage of people like that! How can they sleep at night?

The coaching taught me how to job search, interview & use networking skill to take control and find my next opportunity. Fast forward to April 2022 and I recieved the job offer interviewed for. I'm happy that I invested in these coaching sessions. It has helped me and will help me in any future interviews I may compete in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very apprehensive at the beginning and a good friend of mine recommended that I reach out to Career Joy and have a chat, from the initial consultation with Meagan and to my coaching session with Lisa, the whole process has been very eye opening and helpful for me. Lisa was exceptional at showing me how to keep things in perspective and more specifically how to gain my confidence back. Furthermore, she also helped me understand the transition I was going through and more specifically that you can’t compromise on your values and morales regardless of how long you have been with an organization. I am glad I made that call and furthermore am grateful that I had the opportunity to go through the coaching sessions.
