Went with Denis and Marc based on recommendation and very disappointed in their level of performance. No sense of urgency given the situation I was in and tight timeline, no initiative to find potential location, I had to point them to everything. Pitiful communication, apparently very intimidated by larger corporations. Felt like a nuisance than anything else. They really couldn't be bothered to do put forth any effort. Denis couldn't even show up for the few store visits which were arranged. Couldn't even put in an offer when I ask or give proper clear advice. Felt like they were backing the landlord more than me. Just a complete and utter waste of time. and I am without a store now as a result. Had to put my inventory into storage along with most of my fixtures, Ended up having to leave some behind and will now have to keep it there much longer than I expected and will miss out on Xmas time sales period which for my line of business is crucial. They literally cost me thousands of potential dollars in sales. ***Clarification to owner responses. Denis was aware of the timeline I was under, and I did indicate I didn't expect to have a property in time I moved out but I wanted and needed one soon to capitalize on Xmas sales period. Claiming they put forth effort is a lie, I directed them to the properties I wanted to look and they couldn't even deliver appointment to most of them. Sure we looked at 3 properties about a week later, but only 2 in the 5 weeks after that, not initiative to look for properties, had to keep pointing them out. Denis claims Landlords terminated discussions which is probably another lie, there were only 2 properties I had strong interest in. I was told they even had a landlord follow up with them twice to get update on my interest. Denis nor Marc didn't say any of my asking terms were too much, that is another lie, there were only 2 properties I wanted to discuss with, they told me the rates for the 1st and I indicated it was too high, I would need lower, but they said best I could hope for is like $2 less which wasn't going to work. and left it at that. I gave them a wish list of wants and noted that it's a wish list and I was flexible with it with the 2nd property Marc even indicated good potential with what I was asking but came back and said no, they weren't willing to do anything. If Denis or Marc was giving me advise is surely wasn't clear or concise, and I don't know where he gets this claim I called his staff idiots....I only ever dealt with him or Marc, and I don't recall ever calling either one of them idiots whether in writing or verbal. If I did then I apologize for that, I found them more lazy and uninvolved/uninterested/unmotivated than anything. No, Denis did not indicate to me he wouldn't be apart of things. He basically pawned me off on his Nephew and took a back seat which I didn't raise question to, and at the time didn't have exception to until his Nephew refused to contact a company and follow up with my request. and Breaking the trust level adn question their abilities and create larger concern for their inability to deliver results on finding properties to review, either new or ones I gave them direction to. Another lie would be that Denis terminated the agreement. NO, I terminated the agreement cause I lost all trust, and confidence in their abilities. Their communication skills were poor, no initiative to go find property, relied on me to provide for them. questionable skill level to follow through and deliver results. Nice enough individuals, but business wise, terrible wasteful experience which will cost me thousands of dollars in lost sales as a result.
