★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hike. We went in mid-January. The back of the cave was frozen solid. Apparently, there is an extensive cave system as which would be accessible during the summer. There's around a 9 km walk along a gravel (easy) road and around a 1.5 km walk uphill to the cave (moderate).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to visit. have to walk or bike ride from parking lot just off highway 66. A couple routes up to the cave are easy to find. I suggest rock helmets and flashlights or headlamps. Sometime they say this place is closed but it is not. Happy Trails.
