This place has changed owners in the last year. Not AT ALL the same food I've been having for the past 25+ years. Will not stop here again unfortunately. Smaller portions, food isn't fresh. The pieces of pie we got were very old. All around disappointing as this was a must stop my whole life on the way up to our cabin.

My wife and I had breakfast and when we were told they did not poach eggs because it was too much of a bother, that should have been a warning to leave. The meal was terrible. Hash browns were old and tasted of grease. White toast was not on the menu. Waiter spilled coffee on the table and made a passing attempt at wiping it up. Another couple came in after us and left before us with only part of their meals consumed. Bad day in the kitchen? Maybe, but as they did nothing to endear our future patronage I will not go back.

If you have deep pockets. 2 pieces of pie with very thick tough pastry with dobble of whip cream cost 16$ plus bottled water for $23. New owners. Don't think will visit this place again. Always enjoyed it before but not now.

Wow iv never had someone go so far out of there way to feed me, no power, dident have cash and this owner made me a sandwich was able to get a wireless debit machine and heated my food for me. I will be coming back and will bring my family, just wow top line service. Oh the food was awesome tasted great and all he used was a iPhone flash light and a open flame talk about customer service right there.

The older guy who runs this place is very rude. Not a very enjoyable experience when you have an over bearing waiter telling you youre difficult for asking for another beer.

The new owners are nothing like Kathy and Carl. The food is different and the cooks are different it's not the same and it will never be the same. Are fries were soggy and oily and our burgers were disgusting. It's way too overpriced for food that is so repulsive. I will never eat here again.

I used to work in Boston Bar regularly and The Canyon Alpine was always a great place to eat. Huge portions, handmade burger patties, delicious food overall. I am back in town for a couple of weeks of work and went there the other night, the first night it was open after a closure due to snowpack. There are new owners, and as others have said the food seems to be nothing like it used to be. I ordered a burger and saw they are now using poor-quality frozen patties out of a box. Burger patties are a kind of bellweather for the quality of a restaurant in my opinion. If you aren't willing to do something as simple yet as important as making handmade patties, then you don't care enough about food to be running a restaurant. The frozen patty was weird and sausage-like and the burger was gross. The fries are still handcut, which is great, but they were noticeably undercooked and the portion is smaller. I used to love this place, too bad the new owners are cutting corners.

The new owners are very friendly and kind. But bathrooms were filthy. The food was not cooked or presented correctly. Chicken fingers were one maybe a chicken patty. The burger was not 100 percent beef it was a processed patty, no lettuce or tomato. Corn beef was made by toasting the bread and pan frying very little meat (maybe 3 slices) so it was dry toast and dry meat No dressing on it or cheese. Clubhouse had no 3rd slice of bread, no lettuce the chicken looked like it had gravy scraped off it, bread did not look toasted. The only thing that was really eatable was the fries. Should think of a new menu or learn how to cook and present dishes correctly. Sanitation is important as looking at bathrooms you wonder what kitchen is like. Again they are lovely people and I hope they polish up their cooking and cleaning skills.
