My son has been going to this studio for almost 5 years and he likes it a lot. We like the friendly atmosphere there, kids feel like at home. Penny leads painting. She is a very nice person and great with kids. Not only do they offer painting, but also soapstone, which Terry leads. He is a great teacher and helps the kids feel proud about their accomplishments. What we consider important is their flexibility when it comes to make up classes. For instance when my son is sick or has some overlapping activities, Penny is more than happy to accommodate us. If a child doesn't finish his or her project by the end of the term, they even offer free additional class to allow the kids to complete their projects. I highly recommend this studio.

My daughter has been going to Canvastone for 6 years now and she is very happy with Penny, the other teachers and the art she brings home. As a mom I love the fact that all art comes home framed and ready to hang. My wall going upstairs is full of my daughter's art work. I'm very grateful for the quality of work that the kids get to do and bring home as they use high quality products. My daughter also enjoys the soapstone classes and she brings home beautifully carved creations. Penny and her staff have always been kind and caring. I highly recommend Canvaston Children's Art Studio!

Probably too much LSD in the 60s-70s, this owner doesn't know if she's coming or going. Complete disaster of an operation. Always losing payment and super cheap with materials. Not much leaning goes on either mostly just cookie cutter projects they withhold even though we paid. Also the cost is crazy my kids could both be in competitive sports at this price.

We love Canvastone, my daughter has been taking lessons there for years. Our hallways are full of beautiful work. We love Penny and Terry they are very accommodating. Due to medical conditions we have had to withdraw our daughter, they were quick with the refund process.

I enrolled my granddaughter for a sketching class and paid the full year upfront. Unfortunately we had to withdraw from class before the year was done due to a move to BC. I contacted Penny and she refunded me the balance without issue. She was kind enough to also include the frames for the partially finished sketches. Canvastone was the chosen place for art lessons because I had enrolled my GD in a summer camp and was absolutely amazed at the quality of projects that came during that week. She absolutely loved going and I liked that she learned proper techniques. Pam

My daughter attended Canvas Stone for 3 years before moving on to other activities. She absolutely loved her painting classes. She also tried the Soapstone but was more partial to the painting. Penny was wonderful to deal with. She keeps slots open for her returning students so there is no need to worry that you may miss out on registration. She takes a lot of pride in this studio and it shows in the way she deals with the students. When my daughter decided to leave to pursue other activities mid-year, Penny was sad to see her go but wished her well and ensured we knew that she could return any time. I had absolutely no issues getting a refund for the money I had pre-paid. We also got my daughter’s last unfinished piece in case she wanted to finish it on her own. I would like to thank Penny for a wonderful 3 years! I would definitely recommend Canvas Stone for other families.

My kids absolutely love coming here! The projects they do in soapstone carving are impressive. My oldest son also takes the drawing class and seems to be learning a lot. All the instructors are fantastic and Penny is very accommodating when it comes to make up classes. My kids would like to do all the classes if their schedules allowed for it.
