Canstar Fire and Flood has a specialized training program for employees who work on our trauma scene and biohazard cleanup teams. We provide our crews with both the technical skills as well as coping skills to deal effectively with this unique type of work.

My dealings with Ryan have been extremely unprofessional, I do not recommend using CanStar. He doesn't return calls, the quality of work they perform is really bad. Save yourself! Find a different company.

Contacted Canstar to do a biohazard cleanup. Ryan and his team were very responsive, discreet and professional. Their work was meticulous! Would definitely use them again in the future!

Canstar was hired by my condo association to fix an external water leak in our bedroom last year. They were first on site on August 22, and the leak was not fixed until October 26. Without any inspection of the roof, they attempted to have their project manager fix what they thought was the leak with a tube of caulk (but he arrived with no caulking gun so I had to give him mine) and a small ladder - they thought the leak was in the second story bedroom window - it wasn't. Their drying equipment sat running in our bedroom for days at a time because water kept coming in every time it rained (even after the leak was "sealed" the first time), they didn't get someone on the roof to even look for a leak until over a month after the leak was reported. When repairing the bedroom walls after the roof was finally fixed, they didn't match the paint color and I had to repaint the entire bedroom to match their color myself, the finishings they did were extremely poor quality - window trim and baseboards sticking out and misaligned, they never showed up when they said they would, they went weeks without any communication or action on fixing the leak, they told me they'd test the leak by putting someone on our roof with a hose but then told us they weren't qualified to go on the roof when I asked them to perform the test. I could go on... One of the most awful experiences we've been through dealing with any company.

Thank you so much to Ryan and his team (especially Sabrina!!) for helping me through the stressful situation that was my upstairs washing machine flood that resulted in reconstruction work being required in my kitchen and dining room. Our insurance company connected us with Canstar and we immediately had someone at our house to check out the initial flood situation and help dry out all affected areas. When it came time to schedule the reconstruction Sabrina was amazing. She helped me work around my schedule and find a time for the work to get completed with minimal disruption which is hard when your kitchen is affected and you have small children. The Canstar employees and their contractors were nice to work with and always willing to explain their work if I had questions or provide more information about all steps of the process. There was an issue with the paint color that was initially used; however, after immediately raising the color issue to Sabrina she validated my concern and ensured that the paint issue was resolved within hours. Looking in my space now I can’t even tell there had been any water damage.
