They just finished my friends place at the Ridge. OMG the quality and the details in this home are outstanding. If you haven't seen the inside of one of their homes check out a show home of theirs when you can you will be amazed.

To anyone looking for a contractor to build them a home in the Comox Valley we can’t recommend Clayton and Isaac with Candor Developments enough. First our backstory, In 2016 we lived in Fort McMurray. The wildfires that went through the city that summer resulted in us loosing our home there. During the following rebuild we learned how frustrating and stressful construction can be. It was a long drawn out process with terrible tradesmen and craftsmanship, and by the time the house was completed we had we decided to move our family back to the Comox Valley. Our childhood home and a beautiful place to raise a family. We had the task of finding a builder we could trust and building our second home in 2 years we didn’t want to have the same experience we had previously. After a meeting a few contractors and talking to many more we decided on Clayton and Isaac with Candor Developments. We had Candor Developments design and build us a small house at 960 sq.ft. and we are extremely happy with the result. They took the time to make sure our plan was exactly what we wanted before going ahead with a build which included multiple revisions, and meetings going back and forth until it was finally nailed down. They were never pushy and always returned phone calls or texts no matter the hour, with a pleasant friendly vibe to all of our dealings. Any issues that arose during the build were dealt with quickly, generally the same day. The crew that worked on our house was top notch they were always welcoming when we would arrive onsite to check in on progress or day dream about being in our home. Our vision of the home we wanted came out even better than expected. We gave the guys at Candor a style we wanted and then let them have artistic freedom to produce a beautiful product and they did not disappoint. The timber frame design they came up with is beautiful and timeless and really makes the look of the house. Our project came in exactly on budget and Candor ended up getting us into our home about a month ahead of schedule which if you have built before is a very unexpected welcome experience. After this experience we will be using Candor Developments again in the future and would honestly recommend them to anyone considering a custom build in the Comox Valley area. From the moment I met Clayton and Issac I knew there was something unique about them. I had been looking for a new home for over 2 years and nothing was the right fit, until I chose a Candor house. Their attention to detail shows and being able to work with them throughout the building process was so easy. They took my ideas, I took their ideas, and we ended up with a home, not just a house. We hired Candor Developments after seeing the quality of their work around the Comox Valley. In my line of work, I've seen a lot of builds and I'm impressed with the care and attention Candor takes to ensure their homes are built to high standards. They care about quality and it shows on all their builds. We wanted to add onto our garage by closing in an existing carport but there were design challenges due to odd placements of pre-existing windows and doors. We were concerned about how the finished build would look with so many different lines and we knew we needed professional advice so the addition wouldn't look like a badly planned afterthought. The team at Candor knew exactly how to blend the "old" with the new into an aesthetically pleasing end result. We could not be happier with the quality of their construction and our now expanded garage - our expectations were exceeded on all fronts. Candor's team communicates well with their clients during the building process and they are easy to deal with and responsive. We have no hesitation about recommending them and our unsolicited review is based on our personal experience.

We purchased a pre-built by Candor home in 2019 and could not be more impressed with the after market level of genuine care and involvement of the builder. The thought and craftsmanship that has gone into this build is stellar. A well laid out design with high end, timeless finishing constructed by a incredible collection of the Comox Valley’s trades people is apparent throughout the home.
