The staff worked with me to help sort out an ID problem. They gave me answers and extra help. During the busy Christmas season they worked hard to get everyone their stuff sent off and took time to make recommendations.

Postie keeps cutting across the lawn, have a nice path going now. Thought they weren’t suppose to cut across lawns. Consider this a complaint.

June 8, 2013 Canada Post Chilliwack, British Columbia Attention: Mr. Chuck MacKinnon RSMC Supervisor RE: Promontory Lake Estates Mail Delivery and Pick up Dear Mr. MacKinnon I am a resident of Promontory Lake Estates in Chilliwack. Yesterday Friday June 7, 2013, the mail was not delivered or picked up from Promontory Lake Estates, 6001 Promontory Road. I am not very impressed with this service, as I put stuff in to be picked up early Friday morning, to go to Lawyers, Extended Plans Sympathy Cards, and Letters with cheques etc. in to be mailed. I wanted it to go by Friday as did not want it to sit in a outgoing mail box over the weekend, due to the fact of all the theft of mailboxes and also because our delivery person is not that reliable with making sure that the big doors are left open etc. in the past.. I would appreciate an explanation of why the mail was not picked up and not delivered. Also, I would hope that you also don’t pay that carrier if you thought that they came and did not. Holly the response I got back was: I'm currently not in the office and on Military Leave. I shall be back to the office on the 16th Sep 13. Any emergency inquires can be directed to Randall Sparkes- Supdt Abbotsford Delivery Centre. I do not have access to this e-mail. Have a Great Day. If you are in the GTA area try Charles versus chuck MacKinnon your e-mail will not be forwarded. So now how o I get a hold of anybody about this

Customer service/support grade A+ quality and never had a problem nor a delivery of package messed up by going to wrong address thank god because I have seen or heard of people having that happen but I have never experienced that kinda problem

For parcels, CP keeps using a key that they KNOW doesn't work for one of the community mailboxes at Midtown (4B). This is the second time in as many months, and that's just for my parcels. Why would they re-use a key they know doesn't work?! And you can't contact them by phone (despite the phone number)–it either immediately disconnects or you get a message that they aren't available, and to call back later.

I've had 5 Registered, and 1 Xpresspost traceable/insured letters go 'missing', presumed stolen, while in the custody of Canada Post staff recently. The President and CEO of Canada Post refuses to order a proper investigation. He's also refusing to compensate me for the cost of shipping, and the insured amount for each item containing highly confidential legal documents. Which violates our legal contract for service. The Canada Post Ombudsman is refusing to investigate. The federal minister responsible refuses to address my concerns. I can't afford to take this Crown Corporation to court, but I guess that's the point.

My wife tried to send 2 parcels to the US this morning. New woman working there. Wife always fills out customs forms with name, address, destination etc., as well as adhering return address label to back. Server wanted to know her christian name - wife asked why she wanted it and was told customs demanded it. Wife refused as server was being obnoxious, as her first initial and surname was on the package. Server then refused service and wife told to go elsewhere. 76 yr old wife had to drive further into town to Southgate PO - no name request and pleasant service. In 20 years sending parcels in BC, Ontario, and Europe - never had to give Christian name when sending parcels through customs. Worst post office ever dealt with - and for a Main post office to have only one service desk and no telephone is unbelievable in this day and age. THEY SHOULD BE PRIVATISED!

Canada Post is horrible in Chilliwack. They are obviously understaffed, yet never hire more couriers. They don't even attempt to deliver packages, they just pretend that they left a slip, but don't, and force you to pick it up from a location that isn't even the nearest pickup location to your address... Canada Post should terminate any package services they offer, seeing as they own Purolator anyways. This location in particular needs to actually do their job, and not refuse delivery of my mail the day before a long weekend, forcing me to now wait 4 extra days when an actual courier could have been used.
