Cambrian Dental - Calgary

I have had two poor experiences in a row at Cambrian Dental. The team does not have a system in place to manage insurance. They have notes that they need to predetermine the insurance before providing service, but they never do. Both times they had a comment after the service, if you waited till next month your insurance would cover the filling and if we waited two months the additional scaling would have been covered. Good service other than their insurance process. I will give them one more chance, but ensure I get a copy of the predetermined insurance and have them guarantee they will stick within it. I was happy with the actual dental work, but left disappointed.

It is a great place to get your teeth or pick up any pharmaceutical prescriptions. The staff are always friendly, great to talk to, and explain if there is something wrong. I really recommend it to get anything done for your teeth. They always try to not make anything hurt and in my experience usually succeed.

I absolutely loved the staff and most dentists are traumatizing for me. But at Cambrian Dental I was put at easy and I soon calmed down. I got thru my visit pain free and was taken such great care of.

I am a very anxious, nervous dental patient. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, at Cambrian Dental has gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable and safe. The clinic is extremely clean, and the staff are all empathetic and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I have been to Cambrian Dental many times over the last couple years and have always had good experiences. I have a lot of anxiety surrounding dental work but Dr. Herman Nijjar is extremely gentle and kind, while being quick and thorough. He has a great technique when administering the Novocaine that is distracting and I have never had any pain during any of my procedures. I never have to wait long in the office or in the dental room itself. The clinic is clean, the bathroom is clean, the receptionists are very friendly and happy to answer any questions. I would highly recommend this clinic, and Dr. Herman Nijjar.

When I visited Cambrian Dental for a cleaning and check up, I had some emergencies come up and they were exceptionally kind, understanding about it, didn't charge cancellation fee. They just rebooked and were super understanding and caring. They seen me a proficient manner every time I booked, had lots of flexibility in schedule. Also, the dental Hygienist (sorry can't remember her name) was so great. Honestly last time I had a cleaning my gums hurt so bad, this lady did an amazing job, - the pain! props! Will be back for sure.

went to get a wisdom tooth pulled awhile back and they didn't properly take it all out. 2 years later and fragments of that wisdom they chipped away is still in my mouth probably going to have to live like this for the rest of my life. last visit wasn't that great either I showed 1 pm for my appointment and they just wouldn't see me. pretty sure she just left. that's unprofessional. it was after 2pm when I finally decided to leave. theres way better places way better dental offices that will treat you like a human.

This dentist is fine, if you can get the staff to book an appointment (sometimes they just...don't?), and if the dentist actually shows up (sometimes they just...don't?). I have been trying to complete a dental plan since September. The first appointment just never got made, so when I showed up they were not expecting me and there was no dentist in so I just had to turn around and go home - after I booked another appointment a few weeks out. The big day comes, and I drive over to the dentist, and look at the receptionist and say "hopefully second time is the charm!" and she just looks confused. I said I was here to see the dentist. She says the dentist is not in today, we emailed all our clients for today and let them know they would need to reschedule. I did not have that email. The email I did have, however, was one from their collections department reminding me about the 10 bucks I owed them. Turns out someone in their reception staff decided to "correct" the typo in my email(there wasn't one)! Interesting that they didn't make that correction when it was time to remind me about the money I owed them. After cooling down, I let them know I would call them later when I would be able to deal with them. When I called, they were out of appointments before the end of the year, but they could help me on January 4th. This morning I get an email confirming my appointment for NEXT WEEK! They changed my appointment to a slot I cannot accommodate without even so much as asking me! This clinic has so much potential, but their front office staff needs better leadership, better processes, or both because these kinds of errors are what prompted me to find a better run dentist office to take care of my family.
