★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On the positive side, the unit was adequately clean. The bedroom was great.... good quality bedding, a comfortable bed, newer carpet and a nice bedside lamp for reading if you want to.
The bathroom was clean and adequate with lots of drawers and shelves.
On the negative side, the moldy/musty smell when you first enter this unit is overwhelming. There were spots of black (mold?) on the kitchen and sitting room carpet. The baseboard heating fixture in the bathroom was rusty suggesting previous flooding...?? The ad was somewhat deceiving ..it showed much nicer chairs in kitchen area than what was actually there. It was not a welcoming, friendly or cozy sitting area, with nothing but bright overhead lights.. and seriously out-of-date travel guide reading material for the Vancouver area. The kitchen should include the basic few tea bags and coffee packs... the same as all hotel/motel rooms offer now.
For a 3-night stay, 1 bath towel and 1 small hand towel (no facecloths) are not enough. The tiny dehydrated cubes that expand with water are not a practical facecloth substitute. The shower curtain was dollar-store quality.
Overall, it's an adequate place to sleep. But I would not recommend this accommodation. It did not meet the pleasant AirB&B standard I've experienced several times in the past 6 years.
