We acknowledge that we come together and create music on land known by the Blackfoot name ‘Mohkinstsis,’ which we also call Calgary. This land is on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Piikani, and Kanai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations) as well as members of the Region 3 Metis Nation of Alberta. We honour this land and all those who share it in a spirit of peace, friendship and respect.

Beautiful concert venue. My only complaint is that as a tall man there is not enough room to sit comfortably in any of the balcony seats.

I Love the CPO! I have been going for years and am so grateful to have this cultural opportunity in our city. I am also very thankful that they are reasonable around access to events and do no require the draconian V passport. Culture is for everyone, and there need not be any segregation. Thank you for protecting the rights of all to attend!

Targeted by staff for taking our masks down while in our own booth while more then 6ft apart from other groups while others were in the crowed with masks off, they had no social skills and they are clearly just using there little power to force regulations that aren't even mandated. We were more then willing to wear masks when walking in the halls and public areas

Very disappointed that arts commons has decided to extend the ridiculous vaccine proof requirement and masking at this point in time. There is plenty of data showing the waning efficacy of these measures anyways. It's not surprising to see so many empty seats so close to show time with these measures in place.

Extremely disappointed to see the Philharmonic orchestra keep the vaccine mandate while also requiring masks to be worn the entire time. If you want to keep the arts alive you cannot exclude a big portion of your audience, then force the vaccinated to still wear masks. Prior to covid I would go to the orchestra as often as I could find seats. Now there's tons of seats available right before showing (while at half capacity) but I'm never going to go again as long as these foolish rules stay in place. Either you want your guests vaccinated, or for them to wear a mask. Expecting both is pathetic and insulting.

Was very excited to finally get out with my family since Covid restrictions have been lifted to enjoy the queen show this evening. Was met with extreme disappointment when we had been talked to by the head of management to wear our mask when we had been seated… The disappointment did not come from the fact that they had politely asked us the first time and we respected their wishes, although noticed shortly after that the security was targeting us. After a few minutes of trying to enjoy the rest of the show, frustrated from no one else being asked to wear their mask had we adjusted our masks, security was on us. We were asked 2 more times to wear our masks and eventually told us to leave with 15 minutes left in the show despite respectfully explaining that we had been wearing our masks after they asked us the first time and had just been adjusting them. The security lady was extremely rude and judgmental when we had been keeping our distance being respectful while also trying to enjoy our experience. I want to say that throughout Covid it has always been my wish to respect and protect the safety of not only high risk people but everyone within the community and have respected restrictions throughout the years. I also work retail and understand the disrespect workers get from people who don’t respect the given safety measures. However, mandates in Alberta have been lifted within the last few weeks and we still had to show proof of vaccination before entering the building as well as were wearing our mask walking around the building which was totally fine and made me feel safer knowing everyone in the building would be at least double vaccinated or Covid free. Aside from this, people were drinking freely and chatting with their masks off in the foyer of the building with hundreds of people around, having a good time. However, when we were seated in our own booth with 6 feet of social distancing on either side of us we had been rudely targeted and asked to leave after only adjusting our masks when multiple other people in the concert hall were not wearing masks at all and had never once been asked to wear a mask. When we had brought up this fact we were met with judgment and a power trip from the manager stating that β€œI’m not talking about them, I’m talking about you”. In no way shape or form was my group trying to be disrespectful to their company rules and the mandates despite mandates already being lifted… it is important to remain sensitive in this time but not insensitive to peoples wishes and comfort levels. Will not be coming back to this concert hall.
