Business in the Streets

This program truly added value to my life! The virtual experience was so engaging that it didn't feel like I would miss out if the program was in person. There were opportunities to network and connect with others from the Boot Camp cohort as well as through the Slack App, WhatsApp groups and Zoom breakout rooms. Overall there were many channels for communication with each other and various mentors. Sarah-Jane's facilitation for the YCEO group was clear and concise. She was engaging in her transitions between slides and asked the cohort questions often to check our understanding of the content and encourage participation. She is truly #FacilitationGoals! My mentor group meetings were always productive, insightful and fun! Khalil Dorival was understanding, patient, available and held us accountable by teaching us to create a morning routine and send our daily completed personal and business goals in our group chat. He allowed us to connect with each other and be on one accord from the very first day by letting us establish a group name (ASE) and create a group manifesto. Khalil was transparent and shared his wins and fails and gave adequate examples whenever we had homework. Overall he was #MentorGoals I don't think this program would have been as impactful without going through the whole process with someone else. It can be scary staring a business but by having a mentor and forming a group with other mentees it made the journey fun and exciting. Throughout the program I appreciated the concise power points and the time given in breakout rooms to actually practice the skills taught! I also valued the links and weekly emails packed with community resources and networking opportunities. Thanks Business in the Streets! I gained so much confidence and a supportive community, that I honestly believe I can start a 6 figure business!

This program is very useful to anyone who is business minded but lacks the knowledge on how to start or where to start their business. The program gives you the information you may be missing and also provides the support you may not have when starting. Great opportunity to network and build relationships with other entrepreneurs.

I had the pleasure to mentor with BITS, it was such a rewarding experience. The community spirit was great and the group facilitators/mentors/mentees really connected and accomplished wonders together. The BITS program really goes into detail in what you need to say up your business. The information is top notch and very applicable to your business. Your mentor and peers help provide a safe space of support and accountability. I find this to be totally invaluable!
