I cannot say enough great things about Burnett Photography. Shirleen and Troy were the absolute best. We live in Florida and planned our small, intimate (only 8 guests) wedding at Lake Moraine in Alberta remotely via the internet and I feel so blessed to have found Burnett Photography's website. I browsed through all her photos and read a bunch of her blog posts. I loved her photography, how she captured special moments during an event and noticed that she really emphasized the importance of lighting. We connected nearly immediately via email, and had great discussions back and forth. She offered so much thought and personal insight right off the bat. Once we had a 30-minute phone call together, I knew they would be the right fit! In addition to her skills as a talented photographer, Shirleen really put me at ease and we had such a natural rapport. Once we booked our date, Shirleen continued to be a huge help and sounding board as I worked to plan these details from so far away. She connected me with a few hair & make-up artists and they turned out to be excellent too! The day of the wedding, Shirleen & Troy were a true dream to work with. They made the experience both fun and relaxing (important because my hubby normally squirms when he gets his photo taken!) for us and captured some truly dramatic images that we will cherish forever. We booked 6 hours with them, and are so glad we did. Not only do we have fantastic memories of our time in the Banff area, but now we have amazing photos to share with our families and friends who couldn't join us in Canada for our big day. After going through our wedding photos all we can say is WOW!!! We keep trying to find a way to describe how beautiful the photos are to us but we just cant find the words. Our friends and family are in awe and say they are the most beautiful wedding photos they have ever seen. You have no idea how much we appreciated everything you did that day from the pictures at Sky Bistro to the picnic basket. The canoe pictures were an unexpected delight! You and Troy made the day extra magical! Its no wonder you two were voted best photographers! I recommend Burnett Photography to everyone; easy to work with, kind, funny, and overall amazing. Pictures are the physical memories of the big day and ours are priceless.

My husband and I were planning a vow renewal in the mountains at Chateau Lake Louise, and hired Burnett photography to take pictures of our event. From beginning to end, Shirleen Burnett and her assistants went above and beyond. I started out by shopping around and contacting several photographers. Shirleen was first to respond and answered all of my questions swiftly and cheerfully. She was willing to travel into the mountains, came with top notch cameras and lighting equipment, arrived on time, had a wealth of creative ideas, and made every moment count. She was incredibly passionate about capturing fantastic shots. Our ceremony was in December and it was quite cold. Shirleen and her assistant, Kaitlyn, braved the cold like it was nothing. They were completely undeterred by any challenging conditions (ice, snow, cold) and we were rewarded with truly unique and stunning photos. Both ladies were fabulously warm, friendly, energetic, and engaged not only with us, but also with all of our friends and family in attendance. Absolutely LOVE working with Shirleen and Troy! They photographed our wedding a couple of years ago and we had a great experience, and we knew they would be the right people to do our maternity photo shoot. We had so much fun! So many genuine laughs and smiles caught on camera. We will without a doubt use them again for any other memories we wish to capture!

From the moment I first spoke with Shirleen on the phone, I knew she was going to be the perfect photographer for us. Shirleen gave me a sense of comfort and security and I knew she genuinely cared about ensuring they would capture just what we wanted for our wedding day. Fast forward to our wedding day, myself, sisters and mom were in a whirlwind that morning having hair, makeup done etc with 5 kidlets running around us as well. Shirleen and Troy showed up and an extreme sense of calm came to us!! They are absolutely the most caring people you could have taking care of you and your photos!! I can’t even explain this enough. They engaged the children while we were busy and involved them in the getting ready photos, making them feel SO incredibly special!! It was our absolute,sincere pleasure to have had them capture our wedding photos and we feel SO lucky we found them to do the job! If you have the opportunity to utilize this beautiful couple for any special event you may be celebrating, take the opportunity! Watching them work together with such ease, humour and respect for each other was a true inspiration, especially on our wedding day!! And then you see the photos.. blown away by their beauty!! These two are absolutely fantastic photographers, they captured our engagement/proposal so perfectly and were so fun to work with! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience…. They did so good at helping Chris keep it a secret till we were standing right in front of them and I realized it was all for us! I literally walked into the photoshoot having absolutely no idea, so we got back some very raw and beautiful photos. Very prompt with getting photos and sneak peeks back…. We had a video within 24 hours! easy to contact throughout, you can tell they go above and beyond for clients! Patient with us during our chilly afternoon, and extremely knowledgeable with all things photography. Great at coaching us through different poses and positioning. Big shout out to their daughter for helping out with lighting as well, you guys are the dream team!

Shirleen and Troy were our wedding photographers. What a remarkable experience! The team is very professional, supportive and was with us every step. I am not easy with a camera. I always look uncomfortable and awkward in pictures. Shirleen made me feel at ease, gave me clear instructions and made me feel beautiful on my special day. Our photo album looks absolutely stunning: very professional, highest Vouge-like quality. I highly recommend Burnett Photography.

Although our wedding photos can speak for themselves, I want to share a my experience with Shirleen and Troy. Being a bride is always stressful, however, the pandemic intensified the stress levels beyond imaginable. With unprecedented times, no vendor could be certain about anything and it was tough to handle. Every single communication with Shirleen was warm, comforting and reassuring. I felt that she was on this ride with us. She was willing to make anything work and adapt to any accommodations we needed to make. They traveled with us to Spain in September 2021 (still in the midst of the pandemic) and helped capture the most incredible day of our lives. They even spent days with us, traveling to different parts of Mallorca (and even spent 24 hours in Barcelona) so we could have variety. The angles, lighting techniques, style and effort could not be replicated, you can really see their passion and education level in their craft. I've attached a few below, but I have hundreds that I love. If I hadn't hired Shirleen and Troy, that would have been my biggest regret.
