I absolutely love Bulk Barn!! You can get as much or as little as you want. If you only need a tablespoon of something you can get it. I've shopped Bulk Barn for years in any city they are in.

This Bulk Barn location is clean, well cared for, with attentive staff. They offer your typical Bulk Barn deals such as Senior and Student cheap Wednesday. The reason this location lost a star is due to the constant lack of closing twist ties with the paper on them to write the order number. They are also often out of pencils, so we have restored to bringing our own and writing on the bags if we run out of person containers.

I love it here - and love that I can bring my own containers! I just wish they did a regular promo for bringing your own containers (instead of just for plastic free July) and their organic selection is really lacking. But I will be back over and over again!

Great selection and prices without all the unnecessary packaging.

I do love that I can find some hard to find grains and pulses at Bulk Barn but it really could be so much better. It's such a shame that half the store is dedicated to just junk food, while it's tough to find some basic cooking ingredients such as cannelini beans, regular black beans, red beans (they're different from kidney beans but a common bean used for chilis), whole red lentils, just to name a few. Canada is a leading producer of some of these pulses and you can't find them anywhere. At least bulk barn has farro and pearl couscous! Also a hard find around here at grocery stores. I grew up eating these foods and I understand they are less common here, but is the Canadian diet really that limited? The same pasta, the same usual wheat grains, green lentils, split peas, and tons and tons of candy. The poverty of selection for non-sugary foods is a sad reflection of the standard canadian diet. Shame.

I would have given six stars...but when I went in the other week, I bought a few spices, some tea and beans, and I put them in the glass jars that the store had on shelves which were a really good price. But when we went to check out, the clerk couldn't tare the weight of the jar from the weight of it's contents, so we ended up leaving with some plastic bags which is what I was hoping to avoid in the first place. However, the value was amazing. I got quite a bit of spice, some soap and a few other things for a very low price, plus the glass jars which are reusable. I'm highly impressed with the value, but I'm hoping Bulk Barn will make sure that their employees know how to tare the weight of the glass jars they provide so that my partner and I can reduce our waste and environmental impact.
