Worst cottage ever dont worth it The cottage was a mess dont get fool by the pictures

AMAZING EXPERIENCE AT BRUCE PENINSULA COTTAGE RENTALS. Great location, host was friendly and met all of our requests. She had great recommendations of things to do. My top favourite things were: Bayside Astronomy, the helicopter tour and swimming at Little Cove. This house is right across from the beach and super close to the Grotto. Fair price for everything thats included: firewood, propane for the BBQ. This place is set up to walk in with your food and items and enjoy. Theres a great outdoor space in the backyard and some cool feature like a homemade chess board painted into a picnic table. You can tell the owners took the time to make this a good experience for tourists.

We recently visited Bruce Peninsula for the first time, and had the worst experience with Bruce Peninsula Cottage Rentals. When we arrived in the cottage at night, we realized that there was no water coming out of the bathroom faucet, and there were a lot of flies in the cottage (both alive and dead). We tried to call the number that was provided when we made the reservation, and it was not 24 hours. Around 4:30 am in the morning, we heard fire alarm went off, which was in the basement that we had no access to. We had to call the fire station, and waited outside of the house for the fire trucks to arrive. The fire trucks came and went, and we had to stay outside of the house for over an hour in the middle of the night to find out that the fire alarm was faulty. We then called the only number that was provided to us again to leave a message and hope that someone will give us a call as soon as possible. Amanda called us back after 9:00 am the next morning. We explained the whole situation and told her that we would like to leave the cottage and asked for a full refund. Her response was that she could give us a 25% discount of the cost for the first night stay (note: none of us got any sleep after the fire alarm went off), and she had to charge us 15% of the cost for reminder of the trip that we decide to not stay there. When we reasoned with her that it is not fair for her to charge us for the first night given that the bathroom faucet doesn't work, and we were out on the street in the middle of the night because of a faulty fire alarm, her response was that other rental companies would have done much worse in this situation. Based on our experience in the cottage on the first night and the way Amanda responded to this situation, we would like to file a report to bad business bureau about the incident. We would also like to suggest to other travelers stay as far away from this rental company as possible.

Worst cottage I have ever seen. Smelled mildew, yard was a mess, no railing on the stairs, across from a farm so nice smell of manure in the air at sunset haven. Didn't stay and couldn't get another location nor would they give any refund what so ever. There were personal belongings every where including children's clothing and under wear and food in the fridge and pictures all over the fridge. It felt like a poverty house that a family quickly left for a couple days to make money.

SCAM! Do not stay at this cottage. Place is messy and smells like mildew and wet pets. Personal items are all over the cottage. Host was unprofessional and extremely rude. She also refused to give back the security deposit after my group left the place cleaner than when we got there. Not worth the money or headache!
