I was at the end of my rope, my debt was drowning me and any attempts of saving anything from my paychecks. He personally set up an appointment for me to proceed into signing a consumer proposal, which at the time I did not know anything about. By the end of that first phone call, I had a quote, a meeting, and a complete understanding about what a consumer proposal was, and I almost cried when he told me what my future monthly payments were going to be towards my debt! I was finally going to have my paychecks back, and I was to remain in the surplus instead of always going into a deficit and battling with those NSF return fees. At my next appointment I met with Rick Hamilton. He helped create a contract that was personalized to my income, budget, and lifestyle while lowing my monthly payments to an amount that would help my situation even more! I felt like I was talking to an old friend, who remained professional throughout the entire conversation, and made sure that I understood the process on a new level. I found myself laughing along with him despite my situation feeling so draining and helpless. By the end of that meeting, I felt like this enormous weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. I knew that I was going to be able to go back to a normal life, and that I could now feel protected in a legal manner and in a personal manner. That first night I slept like a baby, and my debt no longer keeps me up at night!
