“From our first day at Brightling, the skilled and caring staff have worked to help our family feel at home. My son joined near the end of his Preschool Room years, and is now in the School-Aged room; both environments have been warm, engaging and educational. We love the play-based approach to learning and the fun, creative ways that the staff encourage the kids to explore their imaginations. The facility is bright, clean and spacious, and the outdoor play space is the very best I’ve seen! The kids are well-cared-for and the staff is very responsive to any questions or concerns that realistically inevitably arise when you have that many small people together all day. Their summer programming also goes above and beyond in keeping things fresh for the School-Aged kids while they’re out of school. I would highly recommend Brightling to any family looking for care on which they can count.”

β β β β β We have had an amazing experience at this daycare. My daughter is much happier here than she was in other daycare centre. The staff seems very happy to be there, they care about the children, and we just walk in and out always with a smile and joy.
I appreciate their flexibility following what the kids wants and needs. They cause 0 stress for parents, if you forget something, or kids misbehave, they always deal with it in a positive way.
Only down side is the cost, but I choose to pay more than double what I used to. Mine and my daughter's mental health has benefited greatly since being with this daycare.

β β β β β Our children were at Brightling for several years of before and after school care. They had a very positive experience. The staff is cheerful and caring, and takes the time to have many activities planned to keep them engaged. Our kids were often disappointed if we picked them up too early.
Their program included transportation to Van Walleghem school which was essential for us. I would recommend them to any parent looking for a clean, well run daycare facility.

β β β β β We had a great experience at Brightling (previously Gramma Marie's). We were previously in a home day care where our kid was placed in front of the TV all day. At Brightling the kids spend a lot of time outside playing in the generous outdoor areas and doing crafts or learning activities inside. The staff are caring and patient, Hayley in the baby room and Christina, Brenda, Wendy, and Feiu in the 2-4 year old room, are especially outstanding. Management is available via email or phone, and we have scheduled time to discuss developmental milestones when needed. When we observed children hitting or acting-up (normal), we also saw appropriate and compassionate responses from staff. If you have demanding jobs that require some longer hours of childcare, you can make sure Brightling is a safe and educational space. Prepare to be inundated with daily crafts and artwork!

β β β β β I have found Brightling academy as a beautiful place for children. Specially loved their very clean, large and tidy rooms and bathrooms! My kids were happy and healthy in this centre. Karolina herself listens to parents concerns with patience and care. All the staff I met were experienced and dedicated for the well being of children. I will highly recommend this centre to other parents who needs a safe, comfortable and reliable place for their children?

β β β β β I had an excellent experience at Brightling Childcare Academy. My daughter was 5 years old and she loved the year that she was there! I liked the staff. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. They helped us whenever we needed. The place is clean and comfortable! The transport is safe! They are creative with the activities for the kids and the parents too! I had Yoga and cooking class with my daughter. Everything there is amazing. I recommend it to everyone!

Many different play areas, games, and educational materials.
The Management responded quickly to any questions, and was thoughtful in hard times!!!!

β β β β β I was excited for my son to start here at Brightling, because he's quiet and super shy, and he needs lots of interaction for his speech development. On the first day, he seemed happy and excited to go back there. However, the following day, I noticed a bruise on his arm, which looked like someone pinched him. I didn't think about it that much until the next day when we're driving in the parking lot. He started screaming like he didn't want to go inside. I even had to persuade him several times. Then, one of the ladies grabbed him and dragged him while he was crying. And I really saw he was scared and as if he was crying for help. We tried the next day and the next day, and still the same. He never wanted to go back there. And I was told nothing happened, but as a mom, I know something did. I went and had a meeting with them and they all accused my son, saying that it's him who caused himself the trauma because he couldn't communicate.
