I'd give this place zero stars if I could. Don't work for her, don't entrust her with your loved ones. Unless you Iike being berated, not paid etc.

Potential Employees: stay away from this employer! There are many complaints of this employer shorting employees of their pay or not issuing T4s. Financial agreements such as: paying mileage aren't honored. The owner treats client's families horribly. There are instances of swearing and screaming over the phone. It is horrifying to think that families have entrusted care of their elderly to this company. Please do yourself a favor and don't work here

I hired this company to care for my Aunt during Covid. I was not allowed into see her for months. When I finally did get into see her, she was wearing a filthy housecoat. Unwashed hair and because of dementia she had hidden or packed up all her belongings, She was wearing the same clothes everyday. I don't get phone calls returned. Have asked for invoices but never received. I guess when they try and take out next months payment they will figure out they have been fired!!!

It's rare thing to be perfect. I believe everyone can improve. This company is pretty close though. That being said, I am an employee. I have been working with Bridge Home Care for one complete year. I have not on one occasion ever regretted applying and staying with BHC. There have been a few issues that I have had. However, I just talk with the owner and the managers. Everything has always been worked out fairly and equitably. Even in some cases more than fair in my favor. I have never been denied a single thing that I have needed to complete a call including extra time. If I need assistance with a client I have had either an instant phone call or some one showing up at the clients’ within 15 min. I have been working for 39 years and I have not ever worked for a better company or management including owner. I have personally hired BHC to look after my loved one. I made them promise that when the time comes they will look after me. I also believe that people rush to the wrong conclusions when they do not communicate appropriately. I have never been unable to resove any issue. This has not been true with other employers. I highly recommend working for Bridge Home Care or using them to care for yourself or a loved one

Bridge Home Care is an amazing small and locally owned business. I started working for them almost a year ago now and love the people that I have been able to meet and help, both in the office as the Schedule Coordinator and as a Health Care Aide in the field. They are a client orientated company that will try and go above and beyond to make their clients and the client's family happy. Management is very flexible and support their staff in anyway they can. After having a baby during the pandemic it’s a little nerve racking to think about putting your child into a daycare with all the germs that are going around, BHC has allowed me to work from home when I can and also to pick the hours that I am able to be away from home to work in the field. They are a company who cares about all the people who they are in contact with. When you call to speak with management you are talking to someone in southern Alberta, you’re not redirected to a call center located in a different province, who may have no idea who you are or who the client is. BHC staff get to know their clients and provide care to each individual the way that is best suited for that client’s needs.
