★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Does anyone else feel like this company is slowly shutting down?, Bare minimum service, and Brian NEVER returns calls, or emails. I also overheard him and his receptionist discussing another client in a less than favorable light, and heard the phrase "dyke" come out of Brian's mouth. And why do I always get the impression that Brian is lying to me? He says only what he thinks I want to hear. His receptionist is just this side of trailer park, and seems drunk most of the time. My invoices are never correct, and anything I drop off in that office falls into a black hole, and is never seen again. Brian doesn't have a filter anymore, and says whatever comes into his head, no matter how inappropriate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the mid-1990s, a fellow lawyer recommended that we use Brian Dougherty as our law firm’s accountant. We did, and it was the single best business advice our firm ever received. Some 25 years later, our firm (now morphed from law practice to adjudication) continues to rely on Brian and his team to give us masterful, honest and ethical tax and planning advice. Apart from that, Brian is also a great fit for us because of some of the other things which set him apart. He has saved our bacon when we have been sloppy or preoccupied and at risk of missing deadlines. He has given us the advice that has helped us solve our short-term issues while training and advising us to work equally smartly on our long term plans for our business and us as its principals. He has remembered what needs remembering when we have forgotten. He has candies in bowls in his office every time we meet; we are not wild about candies but we grab them anyway both because it is a tradition to do so and they seem to nicely complement the wisdom we absorb from benefitting from Brian’s upside-down writing skills (it is right side up for us) as he graphically demonstrates some key thing he is recommending that we do to improve our situation. I have no doubt that we are not the only people out there who swear that Brian Dougherty and his team are our most important professional advisors. We look forward to and enjoy every get-together, in person or otherwise, we have with Brian and his people.
