Brentwood Bay Resort

Brentwood Bay Resort is a fantastic spot to relax and unwind. I went there with my girlfriend for a few nights back in February 2022. I just booked in for May. The rooms are in great shape, and the view is amazing. I highly recommend the one bedroom suites with the jacuzzi on the balcony. Very nice!

Our 2-night stay was decent, but not particularly special nor a great value. At over $500/night, I expected a little better service and polish around the property. Our room was clean but portions are tired and need maintenance - the bathroom fan is noisy and caked with dust, the heating system thumps, moans and roars, and the sliding patio door so gummed up that it takes a large effort to make things move. The shower and bath were clean, but signs of black mold growing in the caulking and rust beginning on the shower hardware. Lights burnt out in many spots around the property as well. Hot-tub is missing control pieces and the heater couldn't keep the water hot during these cooler winter months - the temperature would continually drop anytime we had the cover open. Dinner at the Arbutus Room was tasty, though I was disappointed that my request for some birthday recognition for my spouse was entirely ignored. Food was decent, but the sole server was spread thin and struggling to keep up. Breakfast the next morning was poor - the 4 young women working seemed more interested in chatting and checking their phones than tending to their customers - two breakfast entrees took more than an hour to arrive, we had to repeatedly request water or coffee service, and only when the bill came was the server extremely attentive. We didn't bother to return for breakfast the following morning. Definitely felt more than a little bit frustrated to book a stay at a spa-oriented resort, complete with spa services scheduled, only to have the spa phone you 2 hours prior to the appointment to cancel. They had no time available to rebook, so we'd have to come back "sometime in 2022". It's a nice spot but lacking effort. And for the price, I feel that there are better options available.

It’s definitely a cut above here. Nothing to complain about, but not really my cup of tea. They cater for people with plenty of disposable money. There is a fragrant sauna, a very good restaurant - as well as a more every-day pub-style eatery. The rooms are above average, and with views over Brentwood Bay - it's a special place.

We had a very lovely stay at this Resort. The service was fantastic. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the Arbutus room as well as lunch at the pub and I enjoyed my spa treatment. The rooms are beautiful and view is spectacular- looking forward to staying here again.

The view from the pub of Brentwood bay is beautiful and nice for a sunny lunch day. This is a beautiful resort with warm Douglas fir trim and panels and big wood beams framing the ocean inlet. The pub food is always well done with a bot of class. If it's raining watch the clouds from inside.

Wonderful stay. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive to ensuring that all requests were handled quickly and efficiently. The spa was well appointed and relaxing. .. Lynn 's massage was fantastic and got me ready to enjoy a wonderful Christmas dinner. The dinner was very well priced and offered a variety of choices. This hotel has everything-- location, spacious rooms, spa and great food. The enthusiastic service oriented staff was the icing on the cake. Well done, everyone!

This is a real gem. The staff were outstanding from the moment we checked in until we left. They were always friendly, always smiling and always knowledgeable about the resort and the area. The views from the rooms are amazing. The room itself was nicely appointed, nice linen on the bed and the bathroom was large including a jetted 2 person tub. Having a patio directly to outside was a huge bonus. We had breakfast from the restaurant and the pub for dinner several nights. The food was very good. I left an item in my room and resort had in the mail to me the same day. We'll definitely be back.

Amazing check in experience! Set the stage for an amazing stay. beautiful rooms, beautiful view. The Spa, and Pub service was a real let down. We booked couples massage and upon arrival we were told they had a booking conflict and couldn't accommodate both of us. There were no other solutions offered, they just said have a nice day. We had rescheduled our entire day around this, so it was a real let down. The pub service was alright once we offered some suggestions for seating. We called the front desk from our room multiple times, but could never reach anyone... When checking out we brought up the concerns and were offered free drink coupons, which were useless to us as we were checking out... overall beautiful place, but needs work on customer service. Not sure if I would go back at the price we paid for the service we received. Not sure it deserves the 5 star hotel rating.
