★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would like to be leaving a 5/5 review, however the complete lack of communication before arriving at the B&B needs to be addressed. 5 phone calls, 4 emails and no response. Upon arriving at the B&B there was no host in the building, no indication of when the host would be returning, and no indication we could just enter and go to our room (after knocking several times someone from another building shouted at us "just go inside). We were left feeling confused and perplexed.
Eventually our host did pop in later that evening, and he was very friendly. The rest of our stay was amazing. Beautiful property, beautiful heritage house, great breakfast, and one adorable dog! I will definitely return in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Meg and Matthew were super nice and helpful. When it turned out there was a fire ban and we couldn't grill our rack of lamb, they threw it in the deep freeze for us so we could bring it home with us. Campsites are beautiful (bit of a climb to get there) and breakfast was tasty!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Breezy Bay bed and breakfast is special. It is not fancy, the breakfasts are not cooked by a world renowned chef. It takes me back to when simple things mattered. I had been there years or should I say decades before for a wedding reception. The sense of this place stuck me then. Here I am finally getting to stay here. If I wasn't on a cycle tour I would have stayed longer, much longer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saturna is a great island to visit for a beautiful retreat from the urban landscape.
Breezy Bay was a great choice of places to stay. The B&B is located in a well maintained historical home with plenty of character features and comfortable beds. My favorite was the large library that has a large selection of classical novels. My daughter‘s favorite feature was the host’s very friendly dog Maizy.
The home-made breakfast each morning was a delicious feast and prepared freshly each morning by our host Tim.
When visiting, it is easier with a car to get around the island, however, if you walked off the ferry, the locals are very friendly and will pickup hitchhikers and take you along the main routes if they are going that direction.
