Intended as a family campground, but that means you are not welcome if you are under the age of 40 and without children. Staff are hostile and will make your stay miserable. There is a music ban that they very seriously (ie no quiet acoustic guitar) and staff are constantly patrolling. If you're looking for a Hornby campsite that doesn't have the Tribune Bay party atmosphere, but don't have children, unfortunately this is not the option you're looking for.

People kept saying to me to have low expectations before coming here and I can’t fathom why they would have said that because this is a super lovely, quiet, and clean campground! I am so happy I stayed here. Sites are large, some have considerable privacy and excellent views. Staff are diligently cleaning bathrooms and common areas. Best sunset views on the island as well. This is the place to stay on Hornby!

This campsite is well worth the trip & ferry fee, which covers the trip back too. I would suggest buying your foods prior to going over though, although the local store IS wonderful, prices are higher and it certainly adds up! Campsites are spacious and relatively private, the view is magnificent and the caretakers are friendly and welcoming. Fires are acceptable but the no music rule might put a damper on some young folks.keep in mind though others are there to hear nature so bring your headphones. Enjoy the peace and sounds of nature.

Very explicit instructions and rules. 28 page good read. A but pricy for the experience. However clean. Went in off season and Martin was friendly. Hidden fees including 4$ and 15$ change of reservation dates even outside of 14 day deadline, booking fee, even in off season.

Well my journey starts when I booked and put a deposit of $130.00 on April 5th 2021 for a campsite for July 30 to August 3rd 2022. As I grew up on Denman island and I had connections with Brad/Izzy I was looking forward to camping with my son and grandchildren for the long weekend at Bradsdadsland. My son passed away on July 31st 2021 as we couldn't have a celebration for him due to covid we eventually decided to have his celebration on the day that he passed. So in February of 2022 I phoned the caretaker and explained my situation and that I had to cancel. Thinking I would get my deposit back as 5 months would be plenty of time for someone to book a site. He then told me there would be a cancelation fee and at the moment I said fine but not really knowing what that would be. A week later I phoned back and inquired why my credit card was not credited? He rudely told me he did his part and it was up to the credit card company to do their part, I hung up the phone in disbelief. Three weeks later I phoned back and left a message that I either wanted my deposit or my campsite. He phoned back that day and asked for my card number and the next day my credit card was credited with $54.40. I was shocked that he held back $75.60 dollar for a cancelation fee, I was expecting $10.00 or less! I booked this over the phone and was not told about cancelation fees so just a big warning to now read the fine print as all bookings are done online. Another big warning the friendly caretaker is not so friendly!!!

This is probably the most well-maintained campsite we’ve been to. Washrooms are very clean and are located in two areas. There are potable water sites in a couple areas. Lots are spacious and the campground is encouraged to be quiet. Adirondack chairs overlook the water. Best sunsets on the whole island. The staff are super friendly, welcoming and helpful and have a little shop for extra necessities. Very family friendly, with a little playground. There’s a shower and laundry room as well as a really tidy garbage and recycling room. I highly recommend staying here!

Sites have bushes blocking from other sites not too cramped! A little walk way down to the ocean. Lots of cats to pet and super friendly. Great service! I'd definitely camp here again!
