Boxgrove Off-Leash Dog Park

Nice, clean new park! Friendly dogs and owners.

Its located at 6780 14th Ave, Markham, ON, L6B 1A8, next to Boxgrove Community Park. Just built in late 2021. It will "appear" on google as an empty lot across the intersection from the Mandarin Copper Creek mall. But it's all fully built and can be found next to a new kids play area at Rouge Creek and Pagnello Ct. You drive up and park (for free) near the end of Pagnello street. This Boxgrove dog park is nice and enclosed with two gated areas and one area for connecting the two. Both sides appear to be covered all in wood chips. When walking from your car, suggest using the path next to the kids area to avoid walking on the lawn if it's wet. Otherwise, you may step in water overflow at the base of a small hill. It's not too busy during the day yet as it's new. Have seen a lot of folks go to the Cornell Dog Park past the Markham Stouffville Hospital after 4pm as it's clean, gated and has small sensor lights lights at light if you happen to come with a glo ball and a lit up collar at night (319 William Forster Rd, Markham, ON L6B 0R1). W started coming to Boxgrove Dog park as well when we want to throw a ball for our dog since there are fewer dogs. People have been good about picking up after their dog and monitoring their dog here as well. Haven't seen it at night yet.

Very nice off leash park! Great to get our furry baby for a lovely afternoon walk when the weather is good. It doesn't have shade, so remember to bring lots of water for your dogs and when it's very hot and sunny, come to the park in the evening. There's also a big playground for kids to play. It only has street parking, so in a busy day, it might be difficult to find a space. Regardless, we will still bring our baby here again.

Nice little dog park, located at the top of a hill so it has good drainage and doesn't get overly muddy. Can get quite windy, though. Lots of room for dogs to run about and it has several benches for people to sit on. Parking is available along Pagnello Court.
